“My mom went to CWP when she was little, and then my older sisters also went. I have gone to camp since second grade and now I’m in sixth grade, so four years.

The most important thing I’ve learned at camp is that God is always with us.

I started off at the three-day camp and then went to the whole-week camp. This past year, I went to the Older Elementary Outpost camp, where I got to sleep in a hammock out in the woods! Camp has made me a more independent person. This summer when we were at Outpost, we were all trying to swing each other while we were in our hammocks. I swung too hard and fell out.

Camp is special because it’s one week we can go and sleep in cabins and do all kinds of fun activities, but we also get to learn more about God while we are there! It’s also special because I get to make new friends and memories every time I go.”

Learn to appreciate the “in-between”. ☀️

Of course it’s fun to climb, run or paddle your canoe along all afternoon… but sometimes it’s sing-songy walks on the trails, or simply sitting down to enjoy a game of checkers - the stuff that happens in-between the big stuff - that we remember the most. ♟️
