On Sunday, March 29, we’re celebrating Positive T-Shirt Day at PBC!!!

With everything the world is going through right now, we could all use a little extra light, a little extra joy, and a whole lot of positivity. And even though March 29 is still a few weeks away, it’s the perfect time to start spreading good energy and speaking life over ourselves and each other.

That Sunday will also line up with Deacon’s Reflection, and the message will be brought by Deacon David Jones. What better moment for us to show up united, encouraged, and wearing something that reflects hope?

Even in uncertain times, we can choose to shine. We can choose to speak hope. We can choose to be the positivity someone else needs to see.

So on March 29, grab your favorite positive tee and meet us at church. Let’s fill the sanctuary with faith, color, and good energy.

“Let your light so shine before men…” — Matthew 5:16

Today Pastor Curtis preached the sermon, “Praise Under Pressure.”

He reminded us that pressure hits all of us in our families, our finances, our jobs, and even in our minds. And sometimes that pressure feels like it’s about to break you. But instead of breaking, he told us to praise.

Just like Paul and Silas in Acts 16, beaten, locked down, and still bleeding they didn’t wait for things to get better. They prayed and sang at midnight. And God shook the foundations, opened the doors, and broke the chains.

“You can complain and keep the chains on… or you can praise and shake the prison.”

Praise changes the atmosphere. Praise invites God into the situation. Praise is a choice, not a feeling.

Even when there’s no fruit, no sign, no breakthrough yet… we still have Jesus. And that’s enough to praise Him for.

Today the reminder was simple but strong: Don’t wait for the pressure to lift. Praise Him while you’re in it. Because God knows how to shake things loose at midnight.

Sunday Recap:

Love That Lasts: 1 Corinthians 13:4–8

Today Pastor Curtis reminded us that real love, the kind that lasts - is rooted in God, shaped by Christ, and lived out through our daily choices. Five powerful truths carried the message:

1: Love Starts With God — 1 John 4:8
Love doesn’t begin with us. God is love, and every expression of true love flows from Him.

2: God’s Love Shows Up When We Mess Up — Romans 5:8
He didn’t wait for us to get cute, holy, or “together.” While we were still wrong, still struggling, still sinners — Christ died for us.
That’s real love.

3: Love Is Not a Feeling, It’s a Decision — 1 Corinthians 13:4–8
Love isn’t butterflies or goosebumps.
Love is choosing patience, kindness, humility, and endurance even when emotions run hot. We’re not responsible for how others treat us, but we are responsible for how we respond.

4: Love Has to Be Put On Every Day — Colossians 3:14
You don’t “sleep in love and wake up loving.” You have to put it on daily — when people test you, when forgiveness is hard, when patience runs low. Christ put on love for us, even unto death.

5: The Cross Is the Greatest Valentine Ever Seen — John 3:16
If you never get another card, flower, or box of chocolates, remember this: “ For God so loved the world…” Jesus stretched out His arms and said, “This is how much I love you.” Love was nailed, buried… but early Sunday morning, Love got up.

May we carry this word into our week and choose the kind of love that lasts - God’s love. The love that heals, restores, builds, and saves.
