1st Wed night fellowship meal and we had a great turnout and service. Hurley House cooked us up some great fried chicken and trimmings and it was definitely “comfort food”!

It was very encouraging as we move into a new year, and we all want to “step it up” and purpose to grow in our faith, walk, and commitment.

We had almost 90 in attendance and I don’t think it was all for Joey’s fried chicken. 😉

The title of my message was “Confident In Who?” Maybe a simple Word, but an always NEEDED one. It’s very easy to be knocked off track in life when people and circumstances let you down.

But, one thing I KNOW….God WILL never let us down. We can HAVE CONFIDENCE in that truth.

Here are a few of the scriptures I shared without my commentary, but I believe the Word will speak for itself. Read, meditate, and be encouraged.

AND….if you are looking for a great church family to be a part of, I know a great one!

Psalm 57:7-11 “My heart is CONFIDENT in You, O God; my heart is confident. No wonder I can sing Your praises! Wake up, my heart! Wake up, O lyre and harp! I will wake the dawn with my song. I will thank you, Lord, among all the people. I will sing Your praises among the nations. For Your unfailing love is as high as the heavens. Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds. Be exalted, O God, above the highest heavens. May Your glory shine over all the earth.”

Psalm 27:1-3 “The Lord is my light and my salvation—so why should I be afraid? The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble? When evil people come to devour me, when my enemies and foes attack me, they will stumble and fall. Though a mighty army surrounds me, my heart will not be afraid. Even if I am attacked, I will remain CONFIDENT.”

Ephesians 3:12-13 “Because of Christ and our faith in Him, we can now come boldly and CONFIDENTLY into God’s presence. So please don’t lose heart because of my trials here. I am suffering for you, so you should feel honored.”

Hebrews 4:16 “Therefore let’s approach the throne of grace with CONFIDENCE, so that we may receive mercy and find grace for help at the time of our need.”

1 John 5:14-15 “And we are CONFIDENT that He hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases Him. And since we know He hears us when we make our requests, we also know that He will give us what we ask for.”

(*This one definitely for me) 2 Corinthians 3:4-6 “We are CONFIDENT of all this because of our great trust in God through Christ. It is not that we think we are qualified to do anything on our own. Our qualification comes from God. He has enabled us to be ministers of His new covenant. This is a covenant not of written laws, but of the Spirit. The old written covenant ends in death; but under the new covenant, the Spirit gives life.”

Hebrews 10:35-36 “So do not throw away this CONFIDENT trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you! Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that He has promised.”

Great fellowship, food, and Word at our December men’s breakfast. Chris Clinton spoke on letting the “fear of the Lord” guide our lives. It was a great Word and TRUTH.

It’s always good to come together as the body of Christ and tomorrow morning we will have the opportunity again. If you don’t have a church home we would LOVE to have you join us.

Uncompromising preaching, great people, un-intimidating environment. Come and see! Service begins @ 10:00.

We had an awesome turnout this morning for our men’s breakfast!

30+ men and sons gathered for a great time of food, fellowship and the Word. Chris Foster, one of our FCF folks that drives from Jacksonville to be a part of our church family brought the Word.

He did a great job sharing on “discipleship”. It was a timely Word and well spent time together.

Now tomorrow we will corporately come together to worship as a church body, then our ladies will have their Bible study and meal after service.

CHURCH LIFE is a BLESSED LIFE!

If you’re looking for a church home, we invite you to join us in the morning @ 10:00. I feel 100% confident in saying you’ll be glad you did!

Pastoring is extremely rewarding. Getting a front row seat with a church body and family as we each navigate this walk of faith is something I cherish.

It also can be very trying and difficult at times. You are invested in your congregations lives and when they hurt you hurt. And if they decide to leave your family it’s like a part of you has left.

Well, simply speaking it can be a bit of a roller coaster, but one I’ve been riding for almost a 1/4 of a CENTURY, and I will continue to do so until HE says stop.

Yesterday, was a sweet blessing on this ride as I received this message from a dear family that has been attending FCF for some weeks now. They are driving from Jacksonville to be a part of our body and worship with us.

I’ve kinda lost count, but we have folks from at least 9-10 towns/cities that drive a good distance to be with us, and I NEVER take it for granted. If you are looking for a great church family I know there are many around but I know I pastor one.

Come and join us this Sunday or anytime and I hope you’ll feel what these precious folks felt.

I’m sharing the message but keeping the names private.

IS THERE A PERFECT CHURCH ON EARTH? NOPE!
HOWEVER, THERE IS THAT SPECIAL PLACE IN HAZEN!
FAMILY CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP
Let me explain what we have witnessed.
Since I am a KISS (keep it super simple) disciple this should not take long.

S***** and I have visited many churches and were members for 14 years at one of them. God said time to go so we went to looking.
We were invited to FCF by friends, and we were welcomed by brothers and sisters in Christ.
The congregation is made up of every age group. We have not seen any drama, little groups that want to be in charge or think they are better than others. Yes, sad it is in other churches. Very loving church.
WORSHIP
I am a hymnal guy; S***** likes it all if it is good.
To say that FCF has a worship team is an understatement. I just wonder when they are putting an album out. Ok, only us older folks get what an album is.
Now, I have mentioned the family, the worship now let’s talk about the important thing, the pastor.
Scott is like me. Let me explain
Scott is a KISS Pastor.
He does not shop on the $10.00 shelf for words to speak to his sheep.
He shops in the $1.00 bin at the back of the word store.
Scott preaches out of the bible, word for word. If it is in the Word he speaks it, if not he does not try and change it.
Scott has an understanding of what great honor God has called him for, and he does not take it lightly.
We drive a distance to attend on Sunday mornings.
From the pastor to worship team to families, it is worth the drive.
Sorry, it might have been longer than I thought.

S***** and I want to commend each and everyone at FCF for having an attitude like Jesus and welcoming others and showing to others what Scott has taught you.
