We want to sincerely apologize to everyone who joined us for today’s livestream.

Due to a technical issue, the music portion of our service went out over the livestream without sound. We know many of you worship with us from home each week, and we are truly sorry that you were unable to hear that part of the service today.

SUNDAY FRESH

Yesterday’s road is behind us. Today is a fresh start.

Maybe this past week took you through some places you didn’t understand. Maybe there were turns you wouldn’t have chosen and stretches of road you wish you could have avoided.

But GOD has brought you to today.

Don’t spend a new day staring backward at an old mile marker. Whatever happened between yesterday’s Point A and Point B, GOD has given you another opportunity to trust Him and keep moving forward.

A fresh day means a fresh Point A. Put your hand in GOD’s hand and start walking.

“This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.”

SATURDAY — YOU’RE INVITED!

Tomorrow morning, we’ll gather again to worship the GOD who knows every step of the journey.

We may not know what lies between Point A and Point B. There may be turns we didn’t expect, hills we wouldn’t have chosen, and places we would rather go around than go through.

But when GOD leads the way, we can trust the road He chooses.

Wherever you are on your journey, there’s a place for you at Avawam Pentecostal Church. Come worship with us tomorrow and be encouraged to keep following Him—one step at a time.

FUNNY FRIDAY 😂

A man asked GOD, “Lord, how do I get from Point A to Point B?”

GOD said, “Follow Me.”

The man replied, “Absolutely! But… could You show me the whole route first?”

😂 Maybe there’s a reason GOD doesn’t!

If we could see the entire road ahead, we’d probably start planning how to avoid every hill, valley, detour, and rough spot along the way.

But some of those are the very places GOD will use to teach us, strengthen us, prepare us, or even protect us.

We might look at a difficult stretch of road and say, “Surely there’s an easier way around that.”

GOD may be saying, “No. You need to go through it. Just trust Me.”

Sometimes faith means GOD doesn’t show us the whole route because He knows we’d try to rewrite the directions.

We don’t need to know everything between Point A and Point B. We just need to know Who we’re following.

When you’re traveling from Point A to Point B, knowing which way to go makes all the difference.

GOD doesn’t always show us the entire road ahead. Sometimes He gives us enough light for the next step. His Word guides us, corrects us, and keeps us moving in the direction He wants us to go.

We may not know everything we’ll encounter between where we are and where GOD is leading us, but we can trust the One who does.

You don’t have to see all the way to Point B. Just keep walking in the light GOD gives you.

You can’t intentionally get from Point A to Point B without knowing which direction you’re headed.

Life offers plenty of roads, but not every road leads where GOD wants us to go. His Word gives us direction for the journey—showing us when to move forward, when we’ve gotten off course, and how to find our way back.

Point B isn’t reached by accident. Follow the One who already knows the way.

🚨 IMPORTANT REMINDER — NO SERVICES TOMORROW 🚨

Please remember that there will be NO Wednesday night services tomorrow, September 2nd, at Avawam Pentecostal Church.

As many of you know, one of our air conditioning units has gone down and needs to be replaced. The service technician is available tomorrow to complete the replacement, so Pastor James has decided to cancel our Wednesday night services to allow the work to be completed.

We appreciate everyone’s understanding and look forward to seeing you back at church on Sunday!

Good Tuesday morning!

DON’T FORGET GOD WHEN YOU GET THERE

Sometimes the greatest danger isn’t the journey from Point A to Point B. It’s what happens after we arrive.

Moses warned Israel that they were about to receive blessings they hadn’t produced—cities they didn’t build, houses filled with good things they didn’t provide, wells they didn’t dig, and vineyards they didn’t plant.

Then came the warning: Don’t forget the LORD who brought you here.

It’s easy to depend on GOD when the road is hard. The real test may come when the prayer has been answered, the need has been met, and life gets comfortable.

Never become so comfortable at Point B that you forget Who brought you from Point A.

Continuing with Pastor Cornett’s message

POINT A TO POINT B

Getting from where we are to where GOD wants us to be isn’t just about reaching a destination. It’s about who we become along the way.

Moses reminded Israel that as they moved forward into what GOD had promised them, they were not to leave behind what He had taught them. His Word was to go with them—into their homes, into their daily lives, and into the lives of their children.

The same is true for us. Sometimes we’re so focused on Point B that we forget GOD is working on us between Point A and Point B.

Don’t just ask GOD to get you there. Ask Him to make you who you need to be when you arrive.

“Teach me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path…”
