Calvary Baptist Church of the Northwood’s started in the early and mid-1900’s, as a home ministry. In 1941, Pastor Clayton Weekly began holding services at the Old Blaire School south of Seeley. They would later move services to what is now the Lenroot Lodge. In 1945, a school building was moved from Wentworth, WI, and placed where Riverbrook Bike & Ski is today. Due to growth within the congregat

ion, the church would move again. In February of 2003 they moved to the new Lenroot Township Hall south of Seeley until the new building on Hwy 63 was completed. The first service in Calvary Baptist’s current building was held December 21, 2003. It’s formal dedication and open house was held October 10, 2004 - the 56th Anniversary of the church. Calvary Baptist Church continues to grow, preaching and teaching the inspired Word of God completely and without compromise. Pastor Phil and Kathy Markel shepherd our little country church. With such wonderful hearts for people, they are truly blessings to our congregation and the community. We hold worship services every Sunday at 10:00am, with Sunday school at 9:00am. Prayer and bible study are on Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm. We would like to take this opportunity to formally invite you to all of our church services.
