They are worth the late nights and the awkward “get to know you” conversations. These kids are worth the showing up week in and week out to a 2 hour service. They are worth the late night talks, calls, and coming straight from work to show up at events... even though you are exhausted. Because each of our students represent a story, a story that is being written by the Father in this incredible season of growth and development. I know it is hard to see how your conversations with 15 year old girls about Ed Sheeran... Or boys about the newest video games is going to impact them, but I can promise you this: it will.

If you are consistent and put in the effort they will remember you. They will remember how you loved them and how you showed up, and when the time comes when the world is against them they will remember how you were for them. I have seen it time and time again, in students’ lives, in friend’s lives and in my own life. They are worth all the months (and years) of showing up & pouring in so that you are there for that moment their world falls apart & you get to walk them closer to Jesus.
