The Salvation Army Hayward, together with our Advisory Council, was proud to participate in yesterday’s Downtown Hayward Street Fair. The event provided a wonderful opportunity to connect directly with community members, build new relationships, and share information about the programs, services, and activities we offer to support individuals and families in Hayward.

We are grateful to everyone who stopped by our booth, learned more about our work, and expressed interest in volunteering, partnering, or getting involved. Community events like the Downtown Hayward Street Fair strengthen local connections and help ensure that people know where to turn for support, resources, fellowship, and opportunities to serve., and residents in a community-centered setting.

Thank you to our Advisory Council and all who helped make the day meaningful. We look forward to continuing to serve and support the Hayward community.

Today, we had the opportunity to distribute box fans to members of our community here in Hayward, and it was truly a joy to see the smiles and gratitude from those who received them.

These simple but essential items will bring much-needed comfort during the warm days ahead. This effort would not have been possible without the generosity of Ace Hardware in Livermore, who organized a fan drive to collect these donations.

We are deeply thankful for your partnership and support in helping us care for our community in such a meaningful way.

Today, we were truly blessed to welcome families, both parents and children, to our service. It was a joy to gather together in fellowship and encouragement. Following the service, we had the opportunity to bless the children with backpacks filled with school supplies as they prepare for the new school year. The celebration continued with good food and fun games, creating a warm and joyful atmosphere for everyone involved. It was a wonderful day of community, generosity, and shared joy.

This past week, we had the wonderful privilege of taking many children back-to-school clothes shopping, helping them prepare for the new school year with confidence and dignity. It was a joy to see their excitement as they selected items that made them feel ready and encouraged for what lies ahead. We are deeply grateful to the Hill and Valley Club, whose faithful partnership with The Salvation Army for over 16 years has made opportunities like this possible. Your continued generosity and commitment have made a lasting difference in the lives of so many families in our community.

We are truly grateful for a successful “Stuff the Bus” event today at the Walmart in Livermore. It was inspiring to see our community come together so generously, donating school supplies and money to help students start the new school year prepared and encouraged.
