The Crossing at CFCC Hayward THE CROSSING is the English-speaking, multi-ethnic ministry of CFC Church of Hayward. Crossing generations and cultures together in Christ.

Hello family at The Crossing! Weekly church updates:

Pray For: Our VBS Camp kids and volunteers this week! Pray for their protection, fun, and growth in knowing and following Jesus!

Honoring Father’s Day (6/21): Thank God for the ministry of dads to families! This Sunday, we’ll pray over them, and there is a special lunch in honor of Father’s Day, 12:30 PM in the Fellowship Hall.

STEM Summer Camp (6/22-7/17): We host a 4-week STEM camp for students entering grades 6-8 from the Olive Children Foundation, 9 AM – 3 PM, Mon-Fri, here at church. Cost: $70; financial aid available. Register online at our church events page.

[New] Missions Sharing (6/28): Meet our church-supported missionaries TJ & C from Frontiers, as they share about their overseas gospel ministry, next Sunday at 11:15 AM in Rm 107.

Bridging Grace: Be missional to bless neighbors in our community with home essentials through Bridging Grace, one of our church’s partner ministries! We’re looking for regular donors and volunteers to pray, give, shop, or deliver groceries to local families in need. For more info, contact: [email protected]

Pray For: Kids to make spiritual decisions for Jesus at VBS Camp; Summer retreat preparation; church administrative staff; Ebola outbreak in the DRC.

This week's church announcements:

VBS Meeting (6/14): Attention VBS volunteers, there is a mandatory training meeting this Sunday at 1 PM in the Main Sanctuary.

Missions Sharing (6/14): Meet our church-supported missionaries Christine and Bob Wong of Action Missions, as they share about their overseas gospel ministry, this Sunday at 11:15 AM in Rm 107.

Father’s Day (6/21): Thank God for the ministry of dads to families. Join us next Sunday as we pray for and celebrate all our fathers at church!

🙏Missions Prayer (6/2): To increase our awareness & support of missionaries through prayer, join us for an hour at 8:30 PM, tonight on Zoom; login at church website.

🌭Community BBQ (6/6): Mark your calendars for our annual summer church outreach BBQ, 11 AM – 2 PM that Saturday. Sign up to volunteer via our Events Page. For more info on how to help, contact Pedro M (email on website).

☕Body Life Café (6/7): Whether you’re new or been here awhile, get to know each other more intentionally over coffee at the 1st floor youth center, 11:15 AM this Sunday. Join us for casual, guided conversation as we cross generations and cultures together in Christ.

🍦VBS Kids Camp (6/15-19): Our expanded 5-day Vacation Bible School Camp now runs 9 AM – 3 PM each day! Register kids entering grades K - 6th online in English or Spanish. Theme: Rome and the underground church! We are also looking for half or full-day volunteers; sign up online: Volunteer Registration Form. Contact Tracey (email on church website).

☀Summer Retreat (7/17-19): This Sunday (6/7) is the last day to register for Summer Retreat at Sonoma State University! This year’s theme: “Kingdom Catalysts” with Pastor Will Medel. Cost: $180; financial aid up to 80% available. Register online at our website retreat page.

How do we know we have good character? What is the state of our heart? Pastor Josh exhorts us that it is what comes out of our mouth that's a mirror to our character. Are we quick to praise, or quick to gossip?
