Good morning, Family!
Our scripture reading for today is Genesis chapter 41 and Matthew 14:1–21.
đź“– Verse Summary
Genesis 41 marks a powerful turning point in Joseph’s life. After years of waiting, Joseph is suddenly lifted from prison to the palace. God gives him wisdom to interpret Pharaoh’s dream and prepare the nation for a coming famine. What looked like delay was really divine preparation. God uses Joseph to preserve life and bring provision in a season of crisis.
Matthew 14:1–21 includes the tragic death of John the Baptist and the miraculous feeding of the five thousand. Even in the face of grief and loss, Jesus responds with compassion and meets the needs of the crowd. With just five loaves and two fish, Jesus multiplies what was given and shows that God is more than enough.
Together, these passages teach us:
God can turn waiting into purpose and scarcity into abundance.
