We talk often about serving, giving, helping, and showing up for one another.

But there is another side to life in community: allowing ourselves to receive.

Receive the kindness someone offers.
Receive the help you didn't expect.
Receive the story another person entrusts to you.
Receive the grace that reminds you that you do not have to do everything alone.

Jesus served others, but he also received hospitality, friendship, care, and companionship.

Perhaps part of living with the mind of Christ is knowing when to open our hands and simply receive.

This weekend, may we give thanks for those who make room for us.

Where are you noticing grace?

Sometimes we look for God in the extraordinary and miss the sacred unfolding right in front of us.

In a conversation that lingers.
In unexpected laughter.
In someone who listens.
In beauty we almost walked past.
In a moment when hope quietly returns.

Vocation begins not only with doing, but with noticing.

Today, may we practice a little holy curiosity. May we pay attention to the people, places, and moments through which God’s grace is already at work.

Where are you noticing grace today?

A school is more than classrooms and textbooks. It is a community held together by countless acts of service, many of them performed without recognition.

As a new school year begins, we give thanks for teachers, aides, counselors, nurses, social workers, cafeteria workers, custodians, bus drivers, crossing guards, administrators, coaches, volunteers, and all who accompany children and young people each day.

May God bless their work. May they have patience when days are difficult, joy in moments of discovery, and the wisdom to notice the child who especially needs to be seen.

And may every student find places of safety, belonging, encouragement, and hope.

“Let all that you do be done in love.” -1 Corinthians 16:14

“Woman, great is your faith!” — Matthew 15:28

In today’s Gospel, a Canaanite woman comes to Jesus seeking healing for her daughter.

Others would send her away. She is an outsider whose voice could easily be ignored. Yet she persists.

She speaks. She challenges. She trusts. And Jesus listens.

Her story invites us to ask whose voices are too easily ignored in our own communities. Who is asking to be heard? And are we willing not only to welcome them, but also to listen and allow ourselves to be changed?

Faith active in love listens, crosses boundaries, and makes room for voices the world too often pushes aside.

Young people are not simply the future of the church. They are part of the church today, bringing questions, wisdom, creativity, faith, and gifts that our communities need.

And they do not walk alone.

On this International Youth Day, we celebrate the relationships that grow when generations make room for one another, sharing stories, asking questions, listening, learning, and serving side by side.

Scripture reminds us: “Let no one despise your youth, but set the believers an example in speech and conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.” -1 Timothy 4:12

Faith active in love makes room at the table for every generation. It recognizes that we all have something to teach, something to learn, and gifts to share.

May you notice something beautiful today.
May you offer kindness where it is needed.
May you receive grace when you need it yourself.
And may you remember that even the smallest acts of love can become part of God's healing work in the world.

"Be kind to one another, compassionate, forgiving one another, just as God has forgiven you in Christ." -Ephesians 4:32

Kindness is more than a nice gesture. It is a reflection of God's grace at work in our lives. Every act of compassion, every patient word, and every choice to forgive helps create a world where people experience God's love in tangible ways.

Today, may we be people who choose mercy, extend compassion, and reflect Christ's love wherever we are.
