Haymarket Church

Haymarket Church At Haymarket Church we love Jesus and welcome all people (and all means ALL). Haymarket Church is a new faith community in Haymarket, Virginia. And so do we.

We are committed to doing church differently - to embracing the ancient wisdom of Christian faith AND being open to new possibilities and ways of exploring that faith. We believe that the love of Jesus welcomes all people, without exception, and so we try to do that too. Our church has opportunities for people of all ages and life stages to grow in faith and find community and connection. We offer

programs for children, teenagers, families, adults, and more. We create opportunities for fun, community and service to others. We welcome all people to experience and share community, hope, and love. When we say that all people are welcome, all really does mean all. As we put it in our statement of welcoming and inclusion:

Haymarket Church is a community of various backgrounds and beliefs, drawn together by the love of Jesus Christ, our care for each other, and our passion for our community. At Haymarket Church, all people are welcome, and all means all. We believe that all people are created in the image of God, that all people are of sacred worth, and that Christ died for all people. We believe that God’s radically inclusive love excludes no one. We welcome everyone without exception, regardless of age, race, ethnic background, nationality, gender identity, sexual orientation, family or socioeconomic status, educational background, political affiliation, physical or mental ability, faith history or life experience. We believe that the diversity of God’s creation is part of what makes it beautiful. We are a church where it is safe to disagree about important things and still remain united in the love of Jesus. We have diverse perspectives on faith, and we have differences in perspective on theology and biblical interpretation. We covenant to accept, respect, and love one another along our faith journeys. No matter who you are, where you’re from, or what you believe, you are always welcome at Haymarket Church. We are committed to growing in faith together, listening to God speak to us through the Bible and the continuing work of the Holy Spirit in our lives, building a community of care, partnering with local non-profits to positively impact our community and improve the lives of our neighbors, and sharing the amazing love of God. We believe that Jesus loves you, no matter what. Haymarket Church | Where Faith and Life Connect

EDIT: Registration is already FULL! Thanks for helping us spread the word. Can't wait for Oct!

We are starting a new program in October -- An inclusive 4-week fall program for children ages 1-5 & their caregivers. Who do you know that this might be just what they have been looking for?

All Little Ones Are Welcome!
Wiggly? Wonderful!
Not ready to sit for circle time? That’s okay.
Trouble separating from parents? No problem—participate together.
Need a little extra time to warm up? Take it.
Want to watch instead of participate? That’s okay, too.

We had such a great time at Theology on Tap yesterday evening at 7:00 pm Great Mane Brewery.
Big thanks to our speaker, Kristina Wilson, on her facilitation of the topic of Spiritual Trauma from her theology and social work background.

Being "Trauma-Informed" as a community, is simply recognizing that many people courageously navigate the world around them while holding onto adverse life experiences that may impact their mind, body, spirit and daily life.

Our hope is to continue to become a more compassionate community where neighbors listen deeply and make space for one another's unique needs with empathy and care.

Join us next month, the last Thursday in September (9/24/26) at 7:00 PM for our next Theology on Tap, as we navigate the cross sections of Theology in the Digital Age of AI.

On the last Thursday of the month at 7:00 PM, a small group gathers at Great Mane Brewery to learn a new topic and discuss the theological intersections of culture, politics, life, faith, and the cross-sections in between.

We call it, Theology on Tap.

Join us TONIGHT at 7 PM as we learn from a graduate of Boston University's school of Theology, Kristina Wilson, M.Div/MSW, who who will facilitate a conversation about Theology and the complex experience of trauma.

Trauma can affect all parts of our physical, spiritual, emotional, and mental health. The experience of trauma, depending on its severity, can change our brain chemistry and impact the way we navigate the world.

Tonight, we hope you will walk away knowing....

- What does it means to be a "trauma-informed" neighbor?
- What does it mean to live with the experience of trauma, and how it may be more common than you think.
-Also, we will ask ourselves as a community, what is our role in reducing further harm and trauma from occurring in our communities and sanctuaries.

Come open to learn, listen, and share (but, hey, no pressure! No one is forced to talk if they don't want to).

See you tonight!

No RSVP required. We commit to being a safe and affirming space where all people can feel welcome to be fully themselves no matter their political or religious ideologies and/or cultural or personal identities 🫏 🐘 🪴 🏳️‍🌈 🏳️‍⚧️ 💜.

Our mission team met on Tuesday and had the opportunity to tour the Virginia Women and Family Support Center at their Haymarket residence. We met the Executive Director, Francis Robin, and Resident Manager, Binja Bahirwe, and learned about their mission of supporting women and young children facing housing insecurity.

What a blessing it was to learn about their heart for serving those who come into their care, offering holistic care for the whole person, and to learn about relational ways to care for our neighbors facing crisis.

If you would like to get involved, the organization is always looking for resident helpers, mentors, drivers, childcare help and more! Contact them and/or let us know and we can help you get connected to this wonderful mission rooted in love. ❤️

08/27/2026

Join us for our 5th Sunday Summer Send-off and finishing our "Brick by Brick" series focusing on what it means to be connected in mission across the world to take part in God's story that is unfolding. Deb Angerman (super Lay servant extraordinaire) will be joining me to talk about ways to serve across the globe and right in our backyard. Don't forget to bring a camp chair and your kickball skills!
