It's not too late!!!!!! You can still add a confirmation retreat for your church’s confirmands! The last Theotokos Confirmation Retreat for 2026 is April 10-12, and there are openings for a few more groups.

A Theotokos retreat is the perfect capstone experience for your confirmation ministry. And, it is a beautiful time to be on Hinton’s campus in the Appalachian Mountains. For details and to register for this connectional ministry event, visit www.hintontheotokos.org.

We still have SUMMER STAFF positions available --- AND internship possibilities! Looking for a meaningful summer opportunity?

Hinton Rural Life Center is hiring for a paid Summer Staff position that may qualify as an internship depending on your college or program requirements. This role offers hands-on experience in areas such as communications, social work, leadership, construction, ministry, nonprofit work, and more — all while serving rural communities and making a tangible impact.

Join us for summer missions, a popular destination and service opportunity for youth mission teams! Open to participants as young as 12 (younger if parent is on the team), our summer program runs Sunday through Thursday and features three days of our Safe & Healthy Home Repair ministry, worship and devotional times, poverty awareness activity, Appalachian Culture Night, delicious meals, and fun Staff-Camper Challenges with our amazing crew of college-aged summer staffers. Groups stay in our Lodge or retreat house accommodations (with beds, linens, and bathroom for each room) and have the option to add a Thursday night stay to enjoy area activities. We're looking for college-aged students who are passionate about making a difference and who want to be the hands, feet, and smile of Jesus to join our SUMMER STAFF TEAM! This is a PAID, seasonal position that also includes paid training, most meals, and on-campus housing. AND A LOT OF FUN!!

Hinton Rural Life Center’s 10-week Summer Mission Outreach program features our Safe & Healthy Home Repair ministry, worship and devotional times, poverty awareness/perspective activities, Appalachian Culture Night, and fun Staff-Camper Challenges. Don't worry -- you don't need to have a lot of home repair knowledge or skills -- we'll train you!
