It would be a mistake to decimate basic needs of the Iranian people. Regardless of where we stand on the war, they need water and they need an electricity. We cannot forget that already got everything on your list, including the paint there are human beings on the opposite side of this war.

We need to pray that God gives wisdom to our leaders that are making these life & death decisions.

The Future of North Idaho is on the Ballot:

We see the bumper stickers everywhere: "Idaho is Full." Even those who moved here recently are calling to "turn off the faucet." While it’s easy to dismiss these as slogans, they stem from a very real frustration we all share: North Idaho is changing faster than our infrastructure can handle.

We are all feeling the weight of rapid traffic, large-scale developments, and overstretched public services. The rising costs have forced our local fire and law enforcement departments to rely on bonds just to maintain basic safety.

The data backs this up. Migration from Washington, California, and Oregon continues to climb. Between Washington’s recent tax changes and the soaring cost of living across the West, Idaho remains the top destination for those seeking freedom.

That is why the upcoming May 19 election is perhaps the most important. We cannot afford leaders who treat their positions as a way to hand out "party favors." We need representatives who remember that they serve the residents of this county first.

I urge you to be skeptical of what you read and diligent in your research. When concerns are raised about a candidate, dig deeper. True leadership is about accountability and trust. This May, let’s elect people who are actually deserving of both.

The growth of Idaho and Montana’s largest counties is not happening in isolation. It is part of a broader rebalancing across the West—one driven by policy, affordability, and opportunity.

While we believe churches should have the freedom to engage in the public square without the restrictions of the Johnson Amendment, we are concerned about the current climate in Kootenai County. Some locally active churches seem to be prioritizing political popularity over biblical integrity. Rather than being a 'moral compass' for the culture, they risk becoming tools of a political machine. That is not helpful.

Raising gas prices, homeowners insurance at an all-time high, property tax increases and now our local Kootenai Electric Cooperative's increased rates. It's not sustainable.

This move on the part of Kootenai Electric was a bad idea. We have had a significant increase. We both work from home. We don't have the option to turn off the heater or power down what we need. And many others are in the same situation.

We called and voiced our concerns. Did you? If this is causing your electric bill to increase significantly, please call and let them know you don't agree with their new rate increases. Based on this video, they have taken notice. They need to reverse their plan.

GREAT NEWS! This year, Watchmen Ministry North Idaho will be covering the precinct races. While this is a massive undertaking for our ministry, we believe it is essential. For too long, precinct positions have gone uncontested, with vacancies filled by appointment rather than by the voters. This is exactly how our local Central Committee ended up in its current state.

From the top down, we need leaders with the solid conviction to do what is right for the people—not for a select few. No more political favors. No more clannish behavior. No more lack of accountability to Kootenai County.

Sometimes, change is exactly what we need. When those who claim to be Christians, conservatives, and truth-seekers remain silent in the face of dysfunction, they must be replaced. We need men and women of sound morals and Godly conviction who will serve the residents of Kootenai County above any power-hungry individual. If you don’t believe our local Republican party needs a top-to-bottom overhaul, you haven’t been paying attention.

Are there good people within the Central Committee? Of course. But those who "go along to get along" or are too afraid to speak up must also be replaced. Silence is consent. Remaining silent to protect an endorsement or a reputation is a clear sign of compromised courage. We want to ensure your voice is heard. We want better representation for all.

Candidates will begin receiving their Questionnaire in the next couple of days. If you know one of the candidates, please let them know to expect it via the email they provided.
