Karl-Anthony Towns -- who scored 18 points, grabbed 12 rebounds, made four assists, and blocked one shot in the Knicks' game 1 win of the NBA finals -- demonstrates the importance of a Catholic education and the benefits of the discipline it instills, as discipline is a foundational pillar for succeeding in life. "KAT," as he is known, is a product of Saint Joseph High School in Metuchen New Jersey, where he led his teams to state championships in 2012, 2013 and 2014. KAT graduated from Saint Joseph High School - Metuchen, NJ with a 3.96 GPA, was named the 2014 Gatorade Player of the Year, and went on to attend the University of Kentucky (a basketball powerhouse) before being selected first in the 2015 NBA draft, and being named Rookie of the Year in 2015. He had an amazing career with the Minnesota Timberwolves before joining the Knicks in 2024. Congratulations to the big KAT and all of the Knicks! One down! Three to go! LGK!
