Saint Teresa of Calcutta: Patience, Mercy, and Service
Dear Beloved in Christ,
Our dear Mother Teresa showed us that prayer and Eucharistic adoration are the wellspring of Christian charity: Time spent with Christ gives us the strength to carry His compassion into a hurting world. She reminds us that the heart of the Gospel is demonstrating love, recognizing Christ in “the poorest of the poor,” and serving Him with tenderness, humility, and joy.
Rooted in prayer and fidelity to the Church, she showed that no act of charity is small when offered for Jesus. A smile, a patient ear, or care for the lonely, suffering, dying, and forgotten can become a holy encounter with the Lord.
Her life of radiant service amid suffering bears witness that sanctity is not the absence of doubt, but steadfast love—choosing Christ each day and allowing His mercy to work through us. May her intercession help us see Jesus in every neighbor, love without counting the cost, and become humble instruments of His peace.
May peace be with you...
