We are filled with immense gratitude and joy as we officially celebrate the ordination and installation of our new elders and deacons! Shout out to Phil Caramico, Sherri Caramico, and Debbie Cella!

These individuals have answered a sacred call to serve our church community, step into leadership, and carry out the vital ministry of care, wisdom, and stewardship. Leadership in the church is a beautiful privilege, but it is also a weight that requires deep spiritual strength.

We pray for them and wish them success as they serve the needs of our church.

Welcome to our service! Today, we begin a brand-new, four-part sermon series titled "The Unseen Path." In this first installment, "The Blind Walk," we dive into Hebrews 11:1-7 to explore what it truly means to navigate life by faith rather than by sight. When the road ahead is completely hidden from view, how do we step forward with confidence? Join us as we look at the foundational definition of faith and the powerful examples of those who walked closely with God through the unknown.

As we begin our sermon series this week, The Unseen Path, it only seems right to reflect on this incredible quote by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. inviting us to consider what faith is. How does this Friday Faith Quote resonate with you? Sound off in the comments.

"Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing!" — Isaiah 43:18-19 🙌✨

It’s so easy to look backward; to replay old chapters, carry past weights, or wonder if our best days are behind us. But God is a God of fresh starts and new seasons. Right now, He is working in ways we might not even see yet, carving paths through our wilderness.

A Prayer for Today:
Lord, help us let go of what is behind and fix our eyes on what You are building ahead. Give us the vision to see the "new thing" You are doing in our lives, our families, and our community. Amen. 🙏

👇 Take a moment today: What is one "former thing" you are ready to hand over to God to make room for the new?

Are you ready to step out onto The Unseen Path?

Beginning this week, we’re launching a powerful new series rooted in Hebrews 11. Together, we’ll explore the kind of faith it takes to truly trust God when we can’t see the final destination.

If you've been looking for clarity, strength, or a deeper connection to God's plan for your life, you won't want to miss this. See you Sunday, First Reformed Church family!

Prayer is not a sometimes thing, it is an all the time thing. Even better is when a community of believers come together on one accord to pray. Every Thursday, Pastor Wes leads us in prayer at 6 am and 6 pm.

We receive a scripture, a reflection, and a prayer to help us focus on the goodness of God, the promises he offers, and the teaching of Christ. Join us by using the dial in information below.

Would you walk a path you couldn’t see?

Most of us hate being left in the dark. We want blueprints, guarantees, and a clear view of the road ahead. But true faith requires something completely different. It asks us to close our eyes to the world's certainties and step out into the unknown.

This Sunday, we are kicking off our brand-new sermon series, The Unseen Path. In Week 1, we’re diving into Hebrews 11:1–7 for a powerful message titled "The Blind Walk."

If you’ve been struggling to trust God in a season of uncertainty, or if you're ready to see how a "blind walk" can lead to the most secure ground you've ever stood on, this message is for you. It is first Sunday and we will participate in the Sacrament of Communion.

⛪ Join us this Sunday at First Reformed Church of Hawthorne! Come ready, leave changed. Bring a friend who needs a little hope this week!

Often, the story of Noah gets reduced to a children’s story with cartoon animals. But when you dive into the actual text of Genesis 6–9, it transforms into a gritty, deeply challenging masterclass on what it means to trust God when the entire world thinks you are out of your mind.

This Thursday, we begin with Genesis 6:1–22. The important lesson we will discuss is what it means to believe God’s warning about things not yet seen, in a culture that is utterly hostile to you. Join us for the conversation. In case you didn't know, bible study is open to all who want to go a little bit deeper in the word.

This Sunday, we look forward to singing together our Sending Hymn! It is a popular one. More Than Able by Maverick City Music. As we embark on the unseen path, it is important to remind ourselves about the God that is more than able to do exceedingly and abundantly more than we can ask, think, or imagine.

The official live video for "More Than Able" by Elevation Worship feat. Chandler Moore & Tiffany Hudson."More Than Able" is available everywhere on the album...
