We will forever hold Brother Frank Gillins, our beloved Steward Pro Tem, in our hearts for a lifetime of dedication to the Mount Zion AME Church Hawthorne Family. Our payers and condolences are with the family as they navigate this difficult time.

We look forward to hosting The Celebration of Life, this upcoming Saturday, December 27th, at 11am in our Sanctuary.

May the Lord bless and hold not only the family, but our church family as well, at the loss of a beloved and dedicated member.

🎄 Spreading Christmas Cheer in Our Community! 🎄

On Friday, December 6, 2024, Mount Zion AME Church had the honor of delivering Christmas gift cards, clothing, and toiletries to Ms. Dawn Blizzard, Community Liaison at Hawthorne Middle/High School. We also shared Christmas gift cards with Assistant Principal Ms. Shanee Martin at Shell Elementary.

These gifts are a reflection of our mission to support local families and spread the love of Christ this holiday season. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve and bring joy to our community.

Last week, Mount Zion AME Church had the honor of supporting Hawthorne Middle/High School students through generous donations of clothing and food.

Here are a few pics of items provided to the Clothing & Food Pantries at Hawthorne Middle & High School on Friday, October 4, 2024. We’ve also included a few with the Director of the program Mrs. Dawn Blizzard and Mr. Green, the Principal.
