Last week, we reflected on Standing Firm in a Shifting World (1 Corinthians 16:13–14) — reminding us to be alert, courageous, grounded in faith, and rooted in love, no matter what life throws at us. God moved, and the conversations were powerful.

As we prepare for the new year, we’re asking:
How do we grow in our God-given position as men?
Whether it’s in our homes, communities, jobs, or church—God is calling us to rise up, lead well, and stay grounded in Him.

From the Pastor’s desk;

Are you owned by a lie?
Does a lie live in you? Does it have power over you? Have you given yourself to a lie?
Lies will bring with them other lies. They will never lead you to truth nor will they ever become truth.
Are you believing a lie which confines your life – places you or others in danger? Does it keep turmoil alive in your heart? Are you trying to make a lie into something right?
Believing something that is not true, as though it is, recalibrates all of our decisions. It changes our motives and effects our emotions. It will always draw away our resources and opens the door to chronic problems. We make decisions based on what we believe but not all things we believe are true.
We are often self-deceived. Other times we stare truth in the face and willingly defy it to go our own way. We often convince ourselves of things that are not true. Why? Because we want to believe them or we just want what we want! We sell ourselves to go with them because we derive some temporary pleasure, some reward from it. We may buy into lies because everyone else is or we want to model that image in our life. There is something to be said about being true to yourself.
Lies have to look like truth to be believed. The Devil dresses up to imitate God and his advice is always seeded with lies.
Once a lie lives in you it will prevent you from securing “TRUTH”. It’s like a math equation that will never solve or be right when it has an error in it.
Having “LIES” in your life (your foundation) makes you vulnerable to storms and weakens you. It will prevent blessings from taking root in you and will open the doors to prevailing problems. It will prevent you from making good and wise decisions.
I lie will always run from the truth!
The Bible tells us to buy the “TRUTH” and sell it not.
Renounce all lies and recalibrate your life with God and enjoy peace, confidence and joy
Read the Bible, it is “Raw TRUTH”
