A Note from Fr. Eddie
As we celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity this Sunday, we are reminded of the central mystery of our Catholic faith: that there is one God in three Divine Persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Trinity is not simply something we believe about God; it also reveals to us who God is. God is a perfect communion of love. From all eternity, the Father pours Himself out in love to the Son, the Son receives and returns that love completely to the Father, and the Holy Spirit is the bond of love shared between them.
Because we are created in the image and likeness of God, we are also called to live in communion and love with one another. The Trinity becomes the model for our families, our parish community, and our relationships with others. The Christian life calls us to reflect the unity, selflessness, and love of the Trinity in all that we do.
At our last Parish Council meeting we discussed the possibility of selling the old Lions Club building to the City of Hawk Point. After our discussion, the Parish Council voted unanimously to move forward with the process of selling the building. While this process will likely take a few months, I want to continue being transparent and keep the parish informed as developments occur.
At this stage, we will begin discussions regarding the transaction itself, including agreeing upon a purchase price and addressing the deed restrictions now required by the Archdiocese to ensure that all agreements and future use expectations are clearly established. As the process continues, I will continue to provide updates to the par-ish community.
Please continue to pray for our parish, that guided by the Holy Spirit, we may always make decisions that best serve the mission of the Church and help us continue proclaiming the Gospel to future generations.
Lastly, beginning Monday, June 1st, Fr. Eddie will have an adult formation class in the school cafeteria starting at 7:00 PM.
