Every life has a story. Every story has purpose.
Anthony Scurlock Cervantes was diagnosed with autism at a time when very few resources existed. He faced years of speech therapy, learning challenges, and moments of feeling alone. But God wasn’t finished writing his story.

Through the love of his family, the support of The Way Out Ministries, and his growing faith in Jesus Christ, Anthony discovered hope, purpose, and a calling to serve others. Today, Anthony serves on our worship team, volunteers with youth, leads with excellence as an Assistant Manager at Sprouts, and continues using his gifts to glorify God.

His story reminds us that a diagnosis does not define your future—God does.

“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” — Exodus 14:14

What an incredible week at camp! Our teens had the opportunity to step away from everyday distractions, enjoy God’s beautiful outdoors, build stronger friendships, and grow deeper in their faith.

Most importantly, we celebrated youth making first-time decisions to follow Christ and had the privilege of baptizing three students! 🙌

Anthony's testimony is more than one man's story, it is a testimony of what God does through a faithful church family.

Years ago, The Way Out Ministries opened its doors to a young man who simply needed someone to believe in him. Because people gave, volunteered, prayed, mentored, taught, and faithfully supported this ministry, Anthony found a place where he belonged, discovered Jesus, learned to lead worship, and found the confidence to pursue God's purpose for his life.
Today he is faithfully serving Christ and investing in the next generation.

Heaven is rejoicing!
Two of our own Zion youth youth encountered the Lord on the mountain at camp... and they brought that faith back home.

The same God who moved in the mountains is the same God moving here today.
Barbara and Alyssa chose to wait to be baptized so their families could be there to witness this incredible moment, and it was so worth it.

What a beautiful reminder that God is still changing lives, still saving, and still writing stories of redemption.

We're so proud of you both and can't wait to see all that God has in store for your lives.

The Way Out Ministries, Fort Worth August Diaper Distribution

A special thank you to TFF for the baby toys, The Way Out Ministries in California for the baby clothes, and Hope Center Fort Worth for the back-to-school snacks and baby food. Your generosity helped us provide extra support and encouragement to the families we serve.

As always, we are incredibly grateful for our hardworking volunteers who help us set up, distribute resources, and most importantly, show love and care to every client who walks through our doors. We couldn’t do it without you!
