First Presbyterian Church Havre Mission
We are a family size church whose Mission Statement can be summed up in four simple words:

KNOW – GROW – SHOW -SOW

The first task of any congregation is to help people become believers in Jesus Christ. Christianity is not about doctrines and tenets – it is about a relationship. It is not enough to know about Jesus or depend on what others have told us abou

t Him – we want a first-hand experience, and our worship, education, mission and outreach all seek to help each one of us do just that. Our second task is to grow in Christ. While we may come into the kingdom as infants in Christ, we are not content to remain babies in the faith. The Church’s role is to help us develop a mature faith that is constantly seeking, asking and knocking. We are all beginners but that is no excuse to remain so. Our third mission is to show the faith by putting our faith into action. Whether it be visiting the sick, volunteering at the Soup Kitchen, taking a turn as a greeter, liturgist, or Sunday School Teacher – we all have at least one gift God has given and expects us to use for the work of His Kingdom. Francis of Assisi put it,” Preach the Gospel at all times…As we know, grow and show the faith we also sow the faith and become the Light of the World we were called to be. Evangelism is really nothing more than sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with our friends, family and neighbors. An active Christian faith is infectious, and we seek to spread it through faithful lives. As has been often said,

“Christianity is caught rather than taught”. If the first stage of the Christian life is to know Christ, then let people meet Him first in us! and use words when you have to.”

In this holy season of hope and expectation when Christians prepare to celebrate Christ’s coming into the world and Christ’s coming again to usher in a realm of righteousness, justice and peace, the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and its partners have produced a variety of resources that help believers hold both meanings together. As many of us prepare to break bread in Jesus' name in our homes, with family and with friends, we are also mindful of the needs of others. We give thanks for our PC(USA) congregations and communities that are helping their neighbors stay fed, not just during the holiday season, but year round. DPHHS Issues Partial SNAP Benefits to Clients Per Most Recent Federal Guidance

Clients can call 1-866-850-1556 or visit mybnft.com to check SNAP EBT balance

The Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) announced today that it has issued partial November federally-funded Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits to clients. This action follows updated guidance to states from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food and Nutrition Service (FNS).

DPHHS issued partial SNAP benefits to clients' Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) cards on Sunday, Nov. 9, following receipt of the updated federal guidance.

Clients are encouraged to check their EBT card balances by calling the dedicated EBT Cardholder Help Desk at 1-866-850-1556 or by visiting mybnft.com. The EBT Cardholder Help Desk or the Bnft website, rather than the Public Assistance Helpline, are the fastest and easiest methods to check card balance.

For the most up-to-date information about SNAP benefits, please continue to visit the SNAP webpage.
