Two days after posting every day for a week about the miracles in on Sunday, and realizing it was almost impossible to communicate adequately, I got another call.
One of our staff members and 3 volunteers were arrested about 5 hours south of Kathmandu in for doing Sunday School. I saw them being handcuffed. Each of them faced a $1,200 fine, and 2 years jail time if convicted in a local court.
So, we went from the highest possible high on Easter in Gaza where a little boy was raised from the dead and hundreds of Palestinians accepted Christ, to 4 Metro team members looking at 2 years in prison, an extreme low in Nepal.
Looking at our team member wearing his Metro Sunday School t-shirt standing in handcuffs, it was just surreal. Weโre now waiting for the court date. I guess weโll have to believe for another miracle again.
And yet, just 4 hours ago I was sitting with our team that came to New York to work through our next move in that country. They are ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ต๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ฐ๐ฌ,๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐ธ๐ถ๐ฑ๐ ๐ถ๐ป ๐ฆ๐๐ป๐ฑ๐ฎ๐ ๐ฆ๐ฐ๐ต๐ผ๐ผ๐น ๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ ๐๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ธ there right now from a very small start. God works through people, and in people for a miracle to manifest.
And of course, the couple running Metro Uganda is also trying to figure out what to do with the hippo that is eating the tomatoes that their neighbors trying to grow by the river. Those tomatoes have become that hippoโs daily miracle feast! Who would imagine that tomatoes could be miraculous? Apparently, the hippo does. ๐
I picked up this book again that was sent to me from my good friend, ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐๐๐ผ๐ฟ ๐ง๐ผ๐บ๐บ๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ป๐ฒ๐๐ today. Most of you know that I worked with him in Davenport Iowa for several years before I came to New York City.
Our relationship has become stronger with a greater bond as weโve gotten older. I canโt possibly even begin to explain how his #๐ณ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฑ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ฝ, #๐๐ถ๐๐ฑ๐ผ๐บ, #๐บ๐ผ๐๐ถ๐๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป, #๐๐ฒ๐ป๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ถ๐๐, #๐ฐ๐ผ๐ป๐๐ถ๐๐๐ฒ๐ป๐ฐ๐, #๐น๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ฝ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ #๐ฑ๐ถ๐๐ฐ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ป๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐ has been one of the greatest examples in my life over these years.
Weโve all been talking about the miracles on Easter in Gaza with the blown-up buildings where our team had tried to clean the area up and turn it into ๐ ๐๐ข๐จ๐ฆ๐ ๐ข๐ ๐๐ข๐ and it really was. I opened his book again, the message and the truths of this book, ๐ง๐๐๐ฅ๐โ๐ฆ ๐ ๐ ๐๐ฅ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ก ๐ง๐๐ ๐๐ข๐จ๐ฆ๐, is as true today as the day he wrote it.
I hope all of you will have the opportunity to have a good friend like him in your life that can help you, encourage you and strongly challenge you to be a person who believes in , who stands in , and believes every word of the word of God.
And eventually ๐๐ ๐ง๐๐๐ง ๐ ๐๐ฅ๐๐๐๐ that God can and desires to use in your church, in your house, in your community and in your world wherever that is.
Weโve stood all these years in New York and Iโve been able to witness the miraculous time and time again. I encourage all of you to stand strong. Remember, ๐๐ผ๐ ๐ฑ๐ผ๐ปโ๐ ๐ด๐ฒ๐ ๐๐๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ป๐ด๐๐ต ๐๐ข๐ฅ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐ฏ๐ฎ๐๐๐น๐ฒ; ๐๐ผ๐ ๐ด๐ฒ๐ ๐๐๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ป๐ด๐๐ต ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐ฏ๐ฎ๐๐๐น๐ฒ. Thatโs just how it works!
In Gaza, in Nepal and who knows what the next situation or need will be, but, together with likeminded people, we fight the battle with the strength acquired from the battles of life, and believe that ๐ช๐ ๐ง๐ข๐ข ๐๐๐ก ๐๐ ๐ง๐๐ ๐ ๐๐ฅ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ก ๐ง๐๐ ๐๐ข๐จ๐ฆ๐.
Exactly as did, he fought the bear and he fought the lion, but they were just preparation. There was a giant on his way. But remember, the bigger the giant, the greater the miracle will have to be!
