Sunday at the Commons: Hearing That Still Small Voice - Technology often amplifies whoever is the loudest, but beneath noise, if we get quiet, we can still small voice of God, leading and guiding us for his glory and our good. This is what we'll be reflecting on this Sunday as we gather together at 11am! We hope to see you there! Sunday at the Commons: You Know the Feeling - https://mailchi.mp/highrockhaverhill.org/sunday-at-the-commons-image-bearers-in-the-digital-age-14771190 You're in a crowd...and the whole stadium erupts, a stranger grabs your arm, and something just clicks. It's that feeling of being swept up into something way bigger than yourself. And honestly? It's one of the most spiritual things we experience as humans. Jesus said it's still happening. This Sunday we're looking at Acts 1 and 2. We think it's going to be a good one — and the more people around, the better. :)

Sunday at the Commons: Our lives have grown increasingly disembodied. Why write a letter when you can send a text? Why show up to an in-person meeting when you can hop on a Zoom call? Why play church softball when you can play a video game? This Sunday at 11am we're going to talk about what we lose we experience the world in ways that disconnect us from our body and what we gain when we discover the Spirit of God dwells in us. See you, physically, there! -

Weather like today brings back memories from our SoulCare Sunday: Spring edition a few weeks back. Rain IS a part of spring, and sometimes, the gray backdrop can enhance the beautiful hues (and silly, sweet moments- see last picture!) that we might otherwise overlook. That can serve as a reminder that God always gives us a deposit of His goodness, even when things seem dreary.

Sunday at the Commons - This Sunday we're back to gathering at our usual time and place at church at 11am. And we're kicking off a new sermon series! Technological advancements are rapidly changing the world we live in. For the next eight weeks, we're going to talk about how to be human in a world that, in many ways, is designed to strip us of our very humanity. We hope to see you there! -

TOMORROW, April 19th at 10:30am, instead of our normal service, we’re heading to Rolling Ridge Retreat Center for SoulCare Sunday to rest in community and embrace the unique rhythms of spring 🗺️

It’s a beautiful place: a quiet lakefront, green pastures, and winding paths through the woods. Plus, spring is amazing. The trees are budding, flowers peeking, the grass a vibrant green. It’s a chance for us to stop long enough to take it all in - and see what God has for us in the renewal of the natural world 🌲🌱🍃🌷🪻

We are monitoring the weather and with the forecast looking like some rain, please plan accordingly! ☔️

This event is open to adults and children- please register at the link 🔗: https://thecommons.churchcenter.com/registrations/events/3488867

Sunday at the Commons: At the end of the Gospel of Mark, most bibles include a note that says the earliest manuscripts we've found of this text do not include the last twelve verses. These earliest manuscripts end with the women at the empty tomb—afraid—in stunned silence. What are we to make of this? This just one of the questions we'll be exploring at church this Sunday at 11am. A crucifixion.
Darkness and death.

And then, a surprise that reverberates still:
An empty tomb.

Incomprehensible words:
“You’re looking for Jesus, but he’s not here.
He is risen.”

When all seemed lost, Jesus came back to life. So this week, we remember. We celebrate. We rejoice.

All is not lost.
We are saved.

We hope you will come celebrate the joy of Easter morning with us at our service that takes place at 11, and then stay to continue the celebration after and PARTY with us! We can’t wait to see you.

Holy Week is Here - Haverhill Commons is in High Gear - https://mailchi.mp/highrockhaverhill.org/holy-week-is-here-haverhill-commons-is-in-high-gear We celebrate Easter with a powerful service, baptisms, and the biggest party we know how to throw. We'll have baby animals, faceprinting, balloon art, ping pong, foosball, coloring pages and sensory objects. Oh right, the food: handmade calzones, pizzas, and made to order lattes. Why go to all the trouble? Because Jesus is Risen, and all that is sad will one day be turned into joy.
