A happy Rikkyo Kaishu-e to all and congratulations to our sangha's two newest members! Twice a year at the Nichiren Buddhist Sangha of Greater New England, during Ohigan and Rikkyo Kaishu-e, we offer the opportunity to participate in Jukai - a refuge ceremony that includes the bestowal of Dharma names. Congratulations to Erik (Shōei) and Ted (Genji) for taking the next step in their practices and becoming official members of our temple. 🙏

Another wonderful weekly service in the books! Join us next week for our Spring Hogan service at 10am.

During Ohigan, we remember our ancestors, family members, and loved ones who have passed away. Through memorial prayers and chanting the Lotus Sutra, we dedicate merits for their peaceful repose and the enlightenment of all beings.

If you would like their names included in the memorial reading during our Ohigan services, or inscribed on a tōba (memorial wooden tablet), please submit them using the form linked in our. For each person, include as much information as you are able (name, age at death, and date of passing if known).
