It’s official…

WE MOVE IN THIS WEEKEND!!!!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉Home for Christmas. 🥰🙌🏻🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄
This isn’t our permanent front door, the walls aren’t painted and we don’t have most of our flooring down yet but we have walls, heat, and plumbing so here we go! 😄🙏🏻

Littleton u-haul loading: Friday 3:30pm & Saturday 8:30am.

Haverhill u-haul unloading: Friday 6-7pm(ish) and Saturday 11am(ish)

WE HAVE WALLS!!!!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I reached out to Premier Drywall back in October just to try and get on their schedule for November, and after speaking with Kevin, the owner of the company, he said, “I want to help you, give me a few days and I’ll be in touch.” Y’all… he reached out to L&W Supply and they donated the whole $8,000 worth of drywall materials, THEN he and his wife prayed and asked God to provide THREE high dollar jobs within 24 hours so that they could cover the cost of our drywall project themselves, AND WONT YOU BELIEVE IT!!! They got their miracle and we got ours!!! 😭🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 Kevin sent me a quote that stated $26,000 for the work and a DISCOUNT of $26,000!!! We are wrecked. Thank you for the inspiring faith and generosity of your family and company! 🙏🏻 And to all of the men who worked so hard investing their time into this home! I didn’t know drywall could be beautiful but here we are! 😄🫶🏻

Huge thank you to Thomson Tree Service & Excavation for taking down those dying trees around The River House a couple weeks ago!

Getting those trees removed was priority for safety purposes so we set the funds aside to get them taken care of as soon as possible, only to be met with even more generosity from our community as Thomson provided the service free of charge! THANK YOU!! 🙏🏻 You guys did a beautiful job!

WE’LL BE HOME FOR CHRISTMAS! 🙌🏻🥰🎄

For everyone who has been believing with us for the heat system, which is the biggest financial hurdle to get us moved in by December, I emailed Unico and asked if they would donate the whole $44K system…

They said YES and it arrives tomorrow!! 😭❤️

Thank you to all of you who have prayed, given generously, and volunteered over the last year! Over $300K+ in donated time, money and/or materials! 😭🙌🏻 This is just the beginning, you guys, the life of every child that comes through these doors will be marked by the same miracles, and their legacy changed forever. Won’t Jesus do it!

I’ll be sure to share the 21 year back story one of these days, but here’s a glimpse into the events that have lead us to this point over the last 4 years. 🫶🏻

He is SO FAITHFUL! We want to encourage you all to stand firm in believing for the things that God has spoken to you, no matter how long it seems to be taking. The Lord once asked us if we would still carry this vision even if we were not to see the promise fulfilled in our lifetime. What if our children would be the ones to see this vision come to fruition? In light of that question, He still had our YES. This dream originated in his heart and he will be the one to bring it to fruition in his timing. It’s our privilege to listen and obey. ❤️🙏🏻

This is it FAM! Saturday, August 16th - 8am - 4pm! The final volunteer work day to wrap up phase 1 renovations before we turn the rest over to the professionals! 🎉 We have 4 guys who have volunteered to finish the framing on the third floor while the rest of us screw down floors, vacuum, clean up construction debris in the yard and classic yard work. Bring work gloves, a w**d eater, a shop vac, and/or a drill! Lunch will be provided!! Give me a heads up if you think you can make it!

Hello everyone!

These updates are getting harder to write, not because of a lack of things to share, but because THERE IS SO MUCH! haha. The Lord has been SO GOOD. We have received OVER $100.000 in donations since January 2025 and continue to see that number climb! We hosted our first annual community fundraising event on June 28th that brought in $6,500 in donations and a whole lot of new friends excited to see this adventure unfold! Thank you to everyone who was a part of that epic day. 🙂 With that event and a very generous donation from our friends in Australia, we have OFFICIALLY raised over $250,000 toward our goal of $450,000 to complete EVERYTHING in the main house! A quarter million, you guys! JESUS IS SO GOOD! Please continue to partner your faith with ours to see the completion of this project. (Isaiah 66:9)

RENOVATION STATUS:

Within the last two months we have seen the kitchen & patio roof demoed and replaced(mostly), the second floor fully framed, the third floor demo finished &! 1/2 framed, heating system designed & quoted, plumbing roughed in on 2nd & 3rd floors (starting the kitchen this week!), first stage of electrical for the basement, 1st floor & 2nd floor progressing, and 1 window & 1 door installed!

Our sweet friends, Ken & Helene, donated their time for the entire month of June to get as far as they could with framing and quite nearly completed it! Just a little in the basement, which Mike & I will complete this week, and half of the third floor remain, which our new friend, Rick, has volunteered his time to help us with! So, it's looking like framing will be complete toward the end of August.

So, here is the series of events for August and we need volunteers for some of them: LET US KNOW IF YOU CAN HELP!

1. Framing basement (So basement can be insulated & plumbing rough in can be completed) (Saturday, August 2nd)
2. Framing third floor (Mid-August -TBD)
3. Insulate with spray foam for both the basement & third floor (if we can complete the third floor beforehand.) (TBD)
4. Secure & screw down flooring on all three floors. (Sunday, Aug 3rd & Saturday, Aug 9th)
5. Seal off the addition & barn to keep critters out leading up to phase 2 of renovations. (Saturday, August 9th)
6. Clean & vacuum all floors. (Saturday, August 16th)

HEATING SYSTEM:
We had originally hoped we could install one floor at a time, but with this system it requires we install for all three floors all at once so that the system can be test fired. This affects our budget and plans to be able to move in by December, but we know God isn't caught off guard so we are trusting for the funds needed for the whole system and are currently in communications with the manufacturer to see if they will donate the materials needed. Please pray for favor with this!

Thank you all so much for being a part of this journey with us! We are so excited for what the future holds! Our hope is that by this time next year we'll be introducing River House staff and sharing stories of precious extra littles in the house. 🙂

THANK YOU again to all of our business sponsors, vendors, and contributors for supporting our FIRST ANNUAL summer fundraising event that was held on June 28th in Haverhill! This event was to raise renovation funds for The River House Children's Home scheduled to be operational by Summer 2026! From this event we were able to raise $6,472 toward our goal!!

It was the coolest thing to witness our community showing up for such a great cause. Thank you, thank you, thank you! ❤️
