“Advancing in Christ through Preparation and Engagement.”
This Sunday at The River Church

Jesus invites us to rest, but also to remain readiness, steadiness, watchfulness, and to be prepared to move when the time comes.
There are seasons of "suddenlys" —where preparation determines whether we are positioned to participate in godly movements.

What did He mean by “Let your waist be girded and your lamps burning”?
What does it means to live with spiritual readiness, to "keep the fire burning", and moving into faithful engagement?
Or what is meant by "It is required in stewards, that one be found faithful."?

Preparation is personal. We cannot always depend on the preparation of others when the needs arise.

I hear the call to move forward with greater maturity, discernment, faithfulness, and purpose.

"As you have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, ... "
~ Colossians 2:6-7

Let's get ready for God's next move.

🦁💪🏽🎯 “Spiritual Strength for Growth and Maturity.”

"But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, so that the message might be preached fully through me, ...
And I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion."
~ 2 Timothy 4:17

Spiritual Endurance empowers us to survive difficult seasons.
But Spiritual Strength is required to grow and advance.

Its the capacity to carry light, maintain perspective, and keep moving move into higher ground stability and effectiveness.

Christlikeness begins with viewing circumstances through the will of the Father, and making assessments accordingly.

Jesus said "when your eye is good, your whole body also is full of light." We must see through this lens in order to grow and be productive.
This lens is developed as we rest in righteousness, and labor in love.

If you’ve been searching for greater clarity, stability, discernment, and strength, this word will excite, encourage and challenge you.

Lets grow in strength together!!

⚔️🕊️“Living by Faith as Children of God.”🕊️⚔️

"... whoever does not receive the kingdom of God
as a little child will by no means enter it."
~ Mark 10:15

Jesus breaks with culture and tradition, welcoming children, laying hands on them, and speaking blessings over them.
In doing so, He conveys that the Kingdom must be received like a child.

There is a difference between constantly trying to prove ourselves, and living from the confidence that we belong to Him.
The Father’s love encourages us to walk in His power, and respond to His purpose.

Join us this Sunday as we move with faith and mature in sonship. Moving in the security of the Lord's embrace, willing and ready to walk in what He has called us to do.

With reverence and honor in the Lord, The River Church invites you to join us for the Apostolic Commissioning of Pastor David Braxton.

This ceremony will be a time of prayer, affirmation, and commissioning as distinguished ministers gather to recognize and confirm the call of God upon this man of God for this next season of ministry.

We would be honored by your presence as we gather to worship, witness, and celebrate what the Lord has ordained.

🕊️👣 A Rest for the People of God / Rest in the Midst of Movement

Pressure is real. Responsibilities increase.
The need to pull back can be real, but often its a need to rest and reset before we resume.

The rest Jesus promised is not a call to quit.

Jesus said, “Come to Me, - and I will give you rest.” and Hebrews tells us, “There remains therefore a rest for the people of God”—and remarkably, we are told to labor to enter that rest.🤔

This Sunday, we'll look at what it means to live and work from the rest in Christ rather than constantly striving to get there.
It is a rest that restores hearts, maintains atmospheres, enjoys blessings, and sticks with God—even while there is still important work to be done.

You don't have to choose between peace and purpose. In Christ, you can have both.

Biblical rest is not withdrawal from responsibility—it is freedom from fruitless pursuits so we can work effectively from Christ rather than striving to get to Christ

Let's get it this Sunday - “A Rest for the People of God.”

Operating in Kingdom Influence
The Power of Spiritual Determination

As the Kingdom of God advances, pressure often rises with it. But resistance is not a signal to pull back.
Jesus describes a people who would press in— determined to hear, see, align and move.

What does it means to refuse discouragement? ...to stand strong in the Lord? ... to press through the pressure? ... to pursue the promises of God with godly determination. Spiritual aggression is not about being combative—it is about a spiritual determination.
When we fall, we rise. When we stumble, we recover and realign. We keep showing up, lining up with the heart of the Lord, and believing that His Kingdom is more than a motto.

Join us this Sunday as we explore the operation of Kingdom influence, and to advance with faith, wisdom, righteousness, and power.
