What if the hardest seasons of your life are not proof that God has abandoned you… but places where His love holds you even tighter?

Pain has a way of making us question everything.
God’s goodness.
God’s presence.
Even God’s love.

But Romans 8 gives us one of the strongest assurances in all of Scripture:

“Suffering tries to add a question mark to our assurance. God turns it into an exclamation point.”

No matter what you are facing today, affliction does not have the final word.
Fear does not have the final word.
Loss does not have the final word.

Nothing can separate you from the love of God in Christ Jesus.

Have you ever been so overwhelmed that you didn’t even know how to pray anymore?

Not because you stopped believing.
Not because you stopped loving God.
But because the pain, confusion, exhaustion, or grief felt bigger than the words you could find.

This week at West Church, we explored one of the most comforting truths in Romans 8:

When you cannot find the words…
the Holy Spirit intercedes for you.

“When suffering suffocates my prayer… I can only say, ‘Abba.’ And the Spirit says, ‘I’ll take it from here.’”
