What a great start to our summer adventure!

This past week we learned about David being anointed king in 1 Samuel 16 and discovered that ❤️ God looks at the heart.

Our rainforest animal was the 🦥 sloth! Just like sloths can be easy to overlook in the trees, David was overlooked by others—but God saw something special in him.

📖 Weekly Verse:
"People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart." – 1 Samuel 16:7

🏮 Bible Buddy Challenge:
Don't forget to spend time reading God's Word with your Bible Buddy this week if you haven't yet! We're reading 1 Samuel 16:1-13.
