June Announcements

Feast of the St. Barnabas: The Feast of our Patron, St. Barnabas will be observed on the 10th of June with Matins at 9:00am, Evensong at 4:30pm, and Mass at 5:30pm.

Fr. Anglin’s Vacation: I will be on vacation from the 13th of June to the 20th.

Bishop’s Committee Meeting: The Bishop’s Committee meeting will be held on June 21st, the 4th Sunday after Pentecost, after coffee hour in the Fellowship Hall.

Feast of the Nativity of St John the Baptist: The Feast of the Nativity of St John the Baptist will be observed on the 24th of June with Matins at 9:00am, Evensong at 4:30pm, and Mass at 5:30pm.

D.O.K: Daughters of the King will have its monthly meeting on the 25th of June at 3:00pm.

Feast of St Peter & St Paul: The Feast of of St Peter & St Paul will be observed on the 29th of June with Matins at 9:00am, Mass at 10:00am, and Evensong at 5:00pm.

Feast of St. Phillip and St.James: The feast of St.Phillip and St. James will be observed on May 1st with Matins at 9:00am, Mass at 10:00m, and Evensong at 5:00pm.

Eve of Ascension: St.Barnabas will obverse the feast of the Ascension on the eve, Wednesday the 13th of May at normal mass time, 5:30pm.

Feast of the Ascension: For the feast of the Ascension, I will be away at St.Paul’s in Pekin to celebrate mass for their congregation at 12:00pm.

Feast of Pentecost: The feast of Pentecost, will be observed on the 24th of May with Matins at 9:00am, Mass at 10:00m, and Evensong at 5:00pm.

Bishop’s Committee Meeting: The Bishop’s Committee meeting will be held on May 24th, the feast of Pentecost, after coffee hour in the Fellowship Hall.

D.O.K: Daughters of the King will have its monthly meeting on the 28th of May at 4:30pm.

February Announcements

Feast of the Presentation of Our Lord: The feast of the Presentation of Our Lord will be observed on Feb. 2nd with Matins at 9:00am, Mass at 10:00am, and Evensong 5:00pm.

Pre-Lenten Diocesan Clergy Retreat: Fr. Anglin will be away for the annual pre-Lenten diocesan clergy retreat at Our Lady of Snows retreat center in Bellville, IL from the 11th-13th of Feb.

Monthly Bishop’s Committee Meeting: The monthly Bishop’s committee meeting will be the 15th of Feb., the Last Sunday After Epiphany, in the Fellowship Hall after coffee hour.

Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper: We will be hosting our annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper on Feb. 17th from 4:30pm to 6:30pm.

Ash Wednesday: Our Ash Wednesday service will be at normal time on the 18th of Feb., which is 5:30pm.

Saint Matthias the Apostle: The feast of the St. Matthias the Apostle will be observed on Feb. 24th with Matins at 9:00am, Mass at 10:00am, and Evensong 5:00pm.

Lent Class on The 40 Days: The Lent course this year, starting on the 25th of Feb in the Fellowship Hall after Wednesday mass, will be The biblical significance of the 40 days that Jesus spends in the desert and its connection to the Lenten season.

Stations of the Cross: Stations of the Cross and Benediction will be offered on Fridays in Lent at 4:30pm starting on the 27th.

Feast of the Epiphany: The feast of the Epiphany will be observed on Jan. 6th with Matins at 9:00am, Mass at 10:00am and Evensong at 5:00pm.

Annual Meeting: The 150th annual meeting of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church will be held on Jan 18th in the Fellowship Hall during coffee hour. Anyone who would like anything added to the agenda needs to notify Fr. Anglin by the 11th of Jan.

Feast of the Confession of St. Peter: The feast of the Confession of St. Peter will be observed on Jan. 18th with Mass at 6:00pm.

Feast of the Conversion of St. Paul: Feast of the Conversion of St. Paul will be observed on Jan. 25th with Mass at 6:00pm.

D.O.K: The monthly D.O.K meeting will be on the 29th of Jan. at 4:30pm.
