Today we laid to rest a precious saint and woman of God, Sister Julia Ann Gilmer!

For the last 4 years, Sister Julia faithfully worshiped and served at The Truth Church of Haughton. She truly was an angel sent by God to our congregation, and we were richly blessed by her gentle spirit, compassionate heart, unwavering faithfulness, and Godly example.

Her love for souls, the saints, children, and every person she encountered reflected the love of Jesus Christ in a beautiful and selfless way. She was a passionate worshiper, a faithful prayer warrior, and a generous giver whose life quietly pointed others to Christ.

The impact she made on our church family can never be forgotten and will never be replaced. While our hearts grieve her absence, we rejoice knowing that she has finished her course, kept the faith, and is now in the presence of the Lord, hearing the words every child of God longs to hear: “Well done, thou good and faithful servant.”

Thank you for your faithfulness. Thank you for your prayers. Thank you for showing us what it means to live for Jesus. You will forever remain in our hearts. Until we meet again. We love you, Sister Julia. ❤️
