1. Create a simple name tag for your preschooler. Ask, "What is on a name tag?" (Your name!)
2. Say, "A name tag reminds people of your name. You can know that God knows your name and everything about you because He loves you and made you with worth."

This week's Bible story came from Matthew 19 and Mark 10.

One day people brought children to Jesus, hoping Jesus would bless them. When the disciples tried to keep the children away, Jesus rebuked them. Jesus told everyone there that the kingdom of God belongs to children. Preschoolers can know that Jesus welcomed the children in the Bible story, and He welcomes them, too, because He made them with worth.

Ask your preschoolers to share with you a toy or possession that they value and that is important to them. Share with your preschoolers that God values them very much because He made them with worth and value!

Our September preschool Big Deal is, "Wild and Wonderful! God Values Me!"

Preschoolers will have a fun adventure as they learn about the unique and special ways God created them and how much He values them. We will teach that God made us with worth, He celebrates us, He made us on purpose, and He send Jesus for us.

This week we celebrated Hooray Day, a special day where we celebrate God!

This Hooray Day was a big celebration because we learned that David understood that God knew everything about him. God even knew the words David would speak. God knows everything about us too! God leads us to know Him because He loves us.

At mealtimes this week, talk about the different things that make members of your family special. Remind family members that God knows everything about them.

Take time today to pray as a family - talk and listen to God. Pray these four things:

1. Thank God that He wants us to love like Jesus.
2. Ask God to help you love others like Jesus.
3. Pray for those for whom it may be hard to show Jesus' love. Pray that you can share His love with them.
4. Choose one or two other people to pray for - that they can love others like Jesus would.

Take 1 day this week to highlight these 2 things and spend 3 minutes talking about them:

1. Show your preschoolers a tape measure and ask, "When have you used or watched a tape measure being used?"
2. Tell your preschoolers that when they see a tape measure, they can remember that God's love is so big it cannot be measured! They can know that God has a plan for their lives, and part of His plan is to love others like Jesus.
