Happy Easter everyone! Let us live lives that bring honor to God because Jesus gave up his life on the cross to pay for our sins.

God raised him up, ending the pains of death, because it was not possible for him to be held by death- Acts 2:24

There is so much going on in the world right now that it's easy to spend all of your time worrying. As Christians, we must recognize that focusing on all of our problems will not help, but focusing on Jesus in our quiet place will. If you're feeling down about the world's problems or your own, read Matthew 14:22-33 and allow the Holy Spirit to minister to you. See you at church tomorrow!

Prayers Means Something

Jesus Christ taught His disciples how to pray (Mat. 6:10-13). He did this because Jesus knows our prayers really mean something, especially to GOD.
Sometimes we may not feel like our prayers add up to much, but GOD doesn’t miss one. He so values them that they somehow even play a role in the consummation of His kingdom. What may seem like the smallest prayer to us can have earth-shaking weight with Him! Prayers means something.

Revelation 8:4 – The smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of GOD’S people, went up before GOD.

Let us pray: Heavenly Father, please help us to be faithful in prayer today. It’s in Jesus Christ name, Amen, Amen, Amen.

Have a blessed day in Jesus Christ's name,

In This Together

When have you felt alone? Everyone can pretty much remember a moment or two in their life of loneliness and answer that question. We weren’t created to be alone. But lots of times during our loneliness we fail to remember we’re never alone. GOD is with us every day, hour, minute, and second of our lives. He’s a 27/7 GOD. He lets us know we’re in this together and not alone. Don’t forget it.

2 Timothy 4:but 17 - The Lord stood at my side and gave me strength…

Let us pray: Thank You, dear Father, for the gift of Your Spirit’s comfort You’ve brought into our lives letting us know we’re in this together and we’re not alone. It’s in Jesus Christ’s mighty name we pray. Amen, Amen, Amen.

The Whole House

A family attended a church service, when the invitation to Jesus Christ was offered, they went down the aisle and asked, “What must I do to be saved?” The minister who was awaiting to meet them simply told them, “Just believe in the Lord Jesus.” The Bible tells us to believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household (Acts 16:31).
The response reveals GOD’S desire to pour out mercy on not only individuals but also entire families. Encountering GOD’S love, they all can come “to believe in GOD—their whole household. Though we’re often eager for the salvation of those we love, we can trust that GOD loves them even more than we do. He desires to renew all of us, our whole house. ODB

Acts 16:31 – Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.

Let us pray: Dear GOD, please reveal Yourself to my whole family. It’s in Jesus Christ’s mighty name we pray. Amen, Amen, Amen.

True Freedom

It honors GOD when you’re careful in what you say and do around others. The Bible tells us, “‘I have the right to do anything,’ you say—but not everything is beneficial. ‘I have the right to do anything’—but not everything is constructive. No one should seek their own good, but the good of others” (1 Cor. 10:23-24).
As believers in Jesus Christ, we may see our freedom in Christ as an opportunity to pursue personal interests. But we should view it as an opportunity to benefit and build up others. True freedom isn’t the right to do as one pleases, but the liberty to do as we should for GOD.
We follow in Jesus’ footsteps when we use our freedom to choose building others up instead of serving ourselves. ODB

1 Corinthians 10:24 – No one should seek their own good, but the good of others.

Let us pray: Jesus, thank You for setting us free. Give us wisdom and grace to exercise our freedom in ways that truly honor You and bless others. It’s in Jesus Christ’s mighty name we pray. Amen, Amen, Amen.

Wait for the Lord

When life’s hectic pace sweeps us along, we can trust the One who can keep us in His peace (Is. 26:3). Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD (Psalm 27:14). In what ways can you wait on GOD even when life is so busy? Wait for the Lord. ODB

Psalm 27:14 – Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.

Let us pray: You are our calm in every rush, Father. Thank You for giving us Your peace as we continue to trust You. It’s in Jesus Christ’s mighty name we pray. Amen, Amen, Amen.

You Can Do It!

Encouragement is like oxygen—we can’t live without it. When the choppy, frigid waters of life's troubles and trials make believers in Jesus Christ want to give up, the Bible encourages us to continue our journey. It teaches us to, “remain true to the faith” (Acts 14:21-22). Remain firm in our faith in Jesus. Troubles can weaken us, but words of encouragement strengthen our resolve to live for Christ. In GOD’S strength, we realize we can keep pressing on. Finally, the Bible helps us understand that we will “go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of GOD” (Acts 14:22).
Living for Jesus can be difficult, and we’re sometimes tempted to give up. Fortunately, Jesus and fellow believers in Him can provide the encouragement we need to press on. With Him, we can do it! ODB

Acts 14:22 – Strengthening the disciples and encouraging them to remain true to the faith. “We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of GOD.”

Let us pray: Jesus, when we’re tempted to give up, please send people to give us confidence and courage to continue our walk with You. It’s in Your [Jesus Christ] mighty name we pray. Amen, Amen, Amen.

Communion

Communion (Lord’s Supper) is the New Covenant implemented by Jesus Christ on the Passover night before His crucifixion. It’s the breaking of the bread that represents His body and the drinking of the wine that represents His blood that’s shed for the remission of our sin. The Bible says, “For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes” (1 Cor. 11:26). It tells us to do this in remembrance of Him (1 Cor. 11:25). When was the last time you took Communion?
Whenever and wherever we take Communion, we’re proclaiming our trust in the reality of Jesus’ sacrifice and our hope in His promised second coming (1 Cor. 11:26). No matter where we are, we can celebrate our faith in the one and only risen and returning Savior—Jesus Christ—with confidence. ODB

1 Corinthians 11:26 – For whenever you eat this bread and drink the cup, you are announcing the Lord’s death until he comes. (NTE)

Let us pray: Jesus, please help us live boldly for You until You come again! It’s in Your mighty name [Jesus Christ] we pray. Amen, Amen, Amen.
