Our local United Way is looking for volunteers to spend time with families from Tyden Lofts who have had to shelter at the Commission on Aging due to the possible ricin exposure.

The volunteer opportunity would be a four-hour block either on Saturday (all day) or Sunday (morning), which would require you to spend time with whoever has taken shelter at the COA from Tyden Lofts.

If you are interested in volunteering for one of the four-hour blocks (or getting more information on this volunteer opportunity), please reach out to the United Way in Hastings at (269) 945-4010.

This year we'll be looking at the PARABLES OF JESUS for the Exploring the Bible Seminar. We'll get into what a parable is, why Jesus used them, and how to interpret them.

The Exploring the Bible Seminar will be on Friday, August 14 (6:30p-8:00p), and Saturday, August 15 (9:00a-12:00p), at Living Waters Church of Hastings.
