Trinity Sunday and Pancake and Praise Worship!

Worship will be held in the social hall at 10 am. We will share in a shortened worship with songs, scriptures, and praise. Then while sharing in fellowship and pancakes, congregants will be given time to share their thoughts and reflections on specific topics and issues. Then we will gather back together to share our learnings! Children, youth and adults are all welcome to participate! This is a great Sunday to invite a friend, co-worker, or family member to HCC! Please note that due to worship being held downstairs, we will not have a livestream.

Worship: Sunday, May 24th at 10 a.m., Pentecost Sunday
Sermon: “Courage to Begin Again"

Pentecost arrives not as a quiet moment, but as an interruption. In Acts, it comes like a rush of wind, like tongues of fire, like a sudden eruption of sound and speech and understanding. In John’s Gospel, it is quieter—but no less powerful. There, the risen Christ enters a locked room full of fear, breathes on the disciples, and says, “Peace be with you.” We also will be honoring those who have served in our military on this Memorial Day Sunday.

Worship: Sunday, May 17th, 10 a.m. Graduation/Promotion Sunday
Sermon: "Staying Grounded”

The writer of 1 Peter speaks words that are both unsettling and deeply comforting: “Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that is taking place among you… But rejoice insofar as you are sharing Christ’s sufferings…” These are not easy words. They don’t offer quick fixes or tidy explanations. Instead, they name a truth we often resist: that the path of love, justice, and faithful living will sometimes bring hardship. While we ponder this, we will also celebrate our Sunday School students, teachers, and high school and college graduates as they pave their own paths forward,
We will have a sundae bar to celebrate following worship!

Worship: Sunday, May 10th at 10 a.m. - Mother’s Day
Sermon: “Sharing Hope in a Hurting World”

Our text for today talks about a life that matters - living a changed and a different life than that of the secular world. It speaks of having an impact within the culture in which we find ourselves. In short, it speaks of sharing hope to a hurting world!
