In Luke 24, two disciples walk toward Emmaus carrying disappointment, confusion, and a story they do not yet fully understand. Jesus joins them, listens, and allows them to say what is happening in their hearts before He responds. In this message, we will look at what Jesus teaches us about listening beyond the surface and loving people with greater care. Sometimes the first answer gives us the facts, but listening deeper helps us understand what those facts meant to the person living through them. As we continue Learning to Love Like Jesus, we are invited to become people who hear with patience, presence, and wisdom. Join us as we learn how to "Listen Deeper."

We inherit more from our families than physical features. We also inherit patterns for handling conflict, expressing emotion, responding to pain, and navigating relationships. Some of those patterns are worth carrying forward. Others may be places where Jesus is teaching us a better way. In “It Stops Here,” we will use Gideon’s story in Judges 6 to show us how to identify what cannot come with us, find the courage to do something different, and build healthier patterns in its place. Your history has shaped you, but through the grace of God, what came to you does not have to keep going through you!

Our minds are constantly filling in the blanks, especially when relationships leave us with unanswered questions. But when assumptions begin to feel like facts, they can shape our emotions, our expectations, and the way we see the people around us. In this message from our Learning to Love Like Jesus series, we explore how greater humility, wisdom, and truth can help us build healthier relationships and become more like Jesus in the way we think, respond, and love.
