What a blessing it was to have Bishop Paula E. Clark, 13th Bishop of Chicago in the Episcopal Church to visit and worship with us and our sister church, St. Joseph & Aidan Church in Blue Island! Bishop Clark is also the first African-American and Woman bishop to be elected in the Chicago Diocese. Our two churches also thank Luis F. Garcia, Chaplain to the Bishop for his assistance and guidance for her visit. Lastly, we also thank Fred Bilotto, Mayor of Blue Island for joining our service today! A great time was had by all as we were reminded to always lead with LOVE!!

The Braaten Family was in attendance yesterday to receive a memorial plaque in honor of former member Donald Braaten. Even though the Braatens moved from the area many years ago, they never forgot about and have continued to support St Clement’s Church, especially the Food Pantry program, which feeds hundreds of people and families each month in Harvey and the surrounding areas. It was wonderful to have them back in person for service and fellowship!

Thank you to Mark Braaten and his family for their continued support all these years! We love you!

Pantry will be OPEN AS USUAL TODAY. Power is still out, but we have obtained generators to keep food cold and safe. Fallen trees and wires have blocked some of the streets around the church, so please be careful as you travel to and from food distribution. We will open at 3 pm and close at 5.

Food Pantry Updated Information:

We regret that we have needed to halt our Saturday distribution until further notice. We will continue to have our Tuesday distribution from 3pm - 5pm as long as we do not have any of our volunteers get diagnosed with COVID-19.

Please note the following:
Clients are not allowed inside the church premise due to COVID-19. All boxes and bags are pre-arranged. If you don’t have a vehicle, we strongly recommend bringing a cart or something with wheels. The pre-packaged boxes can weigh in excess of 50lbs. Please line up at the southeast fence corner at 02:45PM. Boxes will be placed on a table by the single gate entrance on the east fence line. Clients are to take the boxes off the table and place them on pallets next to the single gate if they want to rearrange the boxes or get their vehicles so that they will not hold up the line.

We thank you all for your patience. Stay safe, everyone!
