Reminder!! We are looking for four NEW parishioners to serve on our Pastoral Council. This is an opportunity to step out of your comfort zone & make a difference! Share your voice, and help shape the future of our parish community. Fresh ideas, different perspectives, and willing hearts make a difference. If you have ever felt called to become more involved, now is the time. Prayerfully consider serving and helping our parish continue to grow in faith, unity, and service. The Pastoral Council meets once a month at the Parish Center.

The Council will consist of:
• 8 representatives from our various parish organizations
• 4 members appointed by Fr. Mark
• 4 members elected by you, our parish community

Mary Help of Christians Parish is pleased to announce the formation of our new Pastoral Council and the upcoming first parish-wide election process.

The Pastoral Council will serve as a consultative body to assist our Pastor in fostering the spiritual life, mission, and growth of our parish community. As outlined in the newly proposed Constitution and By-Laws, the Council is intended to promote prayerful collaboration, Christian service, and active participation within our parish.

We are ESPECIALLY ENCOURAGING NEW FACES and FRESH PERSPECTIVES to become involved. This is a wonderful opportunity for parishioners who may not have previously served in parish leadership to help shape the future of our parish community.

We are currently seeking qualified parishioners who feel called to serve through leadership, faith, and stewardship.

To be eligible, nominees must:

• Be registered Catholic parishioners of Mary Help of Christians Parish

• Be at least 18 years of age

• Be active in parish life and in good standing with the Church

• Demonstrate a history of supporting the parish through time, talent, and/or treasure

Nominations for the first election will begin soon, with elections anticipated to take place this June.

Please prayerfully consider serving or encouraging someone you believe would be a faithful representative of our parish community.

O Mary, Help of Christians, we run to you today with hearts wide open and hands stretched out in absolute need. ✨

When the storms of this life grow too fierce and the shadows threaten to overwhelm our weary spirits, you are the gentle dawn that breaks through the darkness. You are not a distant queen untouched by our sorrow. You are a tender Mother who walks intimately with us through the very valleys of our deepest trials.

In a world that often feels impossibly heavy with confusion and heartache, your mantle offers us a place of true refuge. We bring to you all the unspoken burdens we carry in the quiet spaces of our souls. We lay at your feet the anxieties that keep us awake at night, the grief that lingers in our chests, and the fears that try to steal our peace. 🤍

Sweet Mother, Auxilium Christianorum, you have stood by the faithful through centuries of conflict and trial. You stood faithfully by the cross of your Son, and you stand by us now. We beg you to wrap your protective arms around our families, our homes, and our Church. When we are tempted to despair, remind us of the glorious victory of Jesus. When we are weak, lend us your unwavering faith.

You are the steady anchor for the tossing ship and the guiding star for those who have completely lost their way. Pour out your maternal grace over every broken heart crying out to you today. Heal our spiritual wounds and bind us ever closer to the Sacred Heart of your beloved Son. 🕊️

Help us to trust completely in God’s perfect providence just as you did. Teach us to whisper our own fiat even when our voices shake with tears. We surrender our daily battles to your powerful intercession, knowing deeply that a child who truly relies on you will never be left to face the storm alone. 🌹

Hold us close, Mother. Guide our every step. Keep our eyes firmly fixed on heaven.
