Even on Father’s Day, my wife and I were still about our Father’s business.
What started as a simple hair appointment for Ardys Curated Thrift Finds turned into a divine assignment.
Recently, she met a woman in ministry at her job who needed her hair done for a photoshoot.
During their time together, the woman began sharing some of the challenges she and her husband were facing at home.
When I arrived to pick my wife up, she hadn’t told me anything about the conversation. Yet when I met the woman, she began sharing her heart with me as well.
Immediately, I knew we needed to pray.
We prayed for the couple and blessed their home.
This precious couple has been facing significant marital challenges as one partner battles mental illness. The strain had created tension and division within the household.
Moments like this remind me that ministry doesn’t only happen behind a pulpit. Sometimes it happens in living rooms, during everyday conversations, when we simply make ourselves available to God.
Mental illness is real. Marital struggles are real. But God’s presence, power, and healing are real too.
On Father’s Day, God reminded us that the greatest thing we can do is be available for His purpose wherever He sends us. ❤️
