Due to a week of rain producing wet and muddy conditions at Camp Helen, along with tomorrow’s forecast calling for afternoon thunderstorms, Capshaw’s Church Picnic has been rescheduled for August 23. This decision also best accommodates our vendors, who were reluctant to provide full services due to the weather. See you tomorrow morning!

Our church picnic is this Sunday (5/31) from 3-7pm at Camp Helen! Find details and register at our website.

“Contentment is the greatest state of inner well-being one could ever have in this world. Jesus likens the value of salvation to secret treasure hidden in a field, and Christian contentment is part of that spiritual treasure. It has such transformative power that it is far more valuable than any physical treasure that has ever been buried beneath the surface of the earth. It has the power to bring supernatural peace and eternal fruitfulness into every circumstance we will face in this life.” -Andrew Davis

Ladies, we’d love for you to join us for a summer book club! We’ll meet in homes for 6 weeks to fellowship and discuss Andrew Davis’s book “The Power of Christian Contentment: Finding Deeper, Richer, Christ-centered Joy.” This is a great chance to get to know other women in the church as we seek to grow together. Get more details and register at capshaw.org/events.

Are you new or newish to Capshaw? If you’ve visited anytime within the last year or so, we hope you’ll join us for Coffee with the Pastors on Sunday, April 19th at 9:15am in the Family Life Center Bookstore. It’s your chance to get to know the pastors of Capshaw in an informal setting and ask any questions you may have about our ministries, backgrounds, families, theology, or anything else that comes to mind.

To be joined to Christ is to be joined to his people, and the local church is a visible manifestation of this glorious spiritual reality. What a joy to welcome these new covenant members to our fellowship yesterday!

Spring has sprung, and it’s time to spruce up our campus! Join us on Saturday morning from 8-12 to tackle maintenance projects, freshen up the grounds, and making sure everything is clean and inviting. No matter your skill level, there’s a job for you, and many hands make light work!

This workday will also be a sweet time of fellowship. Whether you’re pulling weeds, painting, or doing small repairs, you’ll be serving alongside friends and fellow members of our church. It’s a joy to work together, laugh together, and see the progress we can make together.

We’ll have biscuits and coffee ready to fuel you for the morning. So bring your gloves, a willing heart, and maybe a few tools if you have them.
Please register online so we can plan accordingly.
