Are there specific truths that every Christian must believe? Is denying certain doctrines the same as denying the faith? The answer to both questions is yes. There are some statements that you cannot reject and still call yourself a Christian. This begs the question: what are those statements?

For centuries, the Apostles’ Creed has represented perhaps the best-known postbiblical creed. It does not contain everything we believe, but it is a beautiful summary of the Bible’s teaching. As Baptist theologian Al Mohler contends, “All Christians believe more than is contained in the Apostles’ Creed, but none can believe less.”

Join us for Capshaw Academy on Wednesday nights at 6:30 PM, beginning in September 9, as we look at what the church all over the world confesses concerning God, his church, and his glorious salvation, centered on Jesus Christ, who, as the Creed reminds, has come and will come again. (Also, consider joining us for dinner beforehand at 5:30 PM in the Family Life Center!)

We love to hear how deep Bible study in the context of the local church is blessing our women, and we want every woman to experience that joy! Our fall study through 1 & 2 Peter begins in 3 weeks. Register at the events link in our profile.

The war is over; Jesus won it a long time ago, but the enemy continues to fight for every inch of cultural space. Spiritual forces exercise tyranny in the world, besiege our churches and homes, and attack us daily.

As men, we are made for this fight, and called to uphold God’s threefold claim to the cosmos. He who joins arms with us today shall be our brother. We will train, we will engage, and we will be victorious because our God is there and He is not silent.

We’ll meet Sunday evenings, August 23 - November 8 in the Worship Center from
5:30-7:15pm. Doors will open at 5:15 for fellowship. If you are new to Band of Brothers, please register at capshaw.org/events.

Capshaw ladies, join us for a 10 week study of 1 & 2 Peter!

It’s been said that hope is the only thing stronger than fear. Hope enables us to face suffering and uncertainty without panic or despair. And Christian hope is more than just wishful thinking; it’s the certain expectation of future glory grounded in the saving power of God.

The apostle Peter wrote to help weary, first-century Christians stand firm in gospel hope amidst increasing persecution. He wrote to strengthen believers in the saving knowledge of God—knowledge through which Christ would empower them to live holy lives in anticipation of his sure return.

As we journey through the Christian life in a world that’s not our home, Peter’s letters will help us set our hope on the life to come and live fearless, fruitful lives today.

What an incredible week at Student Life for Kids at Shocco Springs!

We are so proud of our 9 Capshaw Students who chose to spend a week of their summer serving over 1,500 campers across two camps. Whether they were leading recreation, working in the camp store, running cameras and lighting, greeting campers, ushering, or serving wherever they were needed, they gave their all.

It was a week filled with long days, hot temperatures, and tired feet—but even greater joy as they helped create an environment where children could hear the gospel and grow in their relationship with God.

We were also blessed to have 18 of our own Capshaw Kids attend camp, where they experienced an unforgettable week of worship, Bible study, recreation, and learning more about Jesus.

Seeing Capshaw represented so well by both our student volunteers and our campers was a special reminder that God is at work in every generation.

Thank you to our students for serving so faithfully and to everyone who prayed for and supported them throughout the week.

We are thankful for all God did at camp! 💙🙌
