Given the weather forecast including single digit temperatures and a wind chill warning, the Elders have decided to cancel Sunday Service on January 14, 2024.

Sunday School, Adult Bible Class & Christian Friends are also cancelled.

The Readings and Sermon will be posted Sunday Morning at their normal location.

On June 24, 2022, the Supreme Court reversed Roe vs Wade which had declared a constitutional right to an abortion. Pastor Matthew Harrison, president of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, both celebrates the protection of the unborn and faces into the challenges that will be faced going forward.

Adult Bible Study, Sunday School and Confirmation Class are cancelled.

I will enter and leave through the Sacristy Door to minimize contact.

We will install officers by asking them to stand where seated instead of coming forward

Pastor tested positive for Covid. All Sunday Jan 9, 2021 morning activities including Sunday School, Adult Bible Class, Worship with Communion, installation of officers, and Confirmation Class are canceled. Christian Friends Dinner rescheduled to 1/23 . Please see our page for previous services and sermons. Taking down Christmas decorations will happen at 9am on Saturday 1/8 as scheduled. We'll slide the Evangelism workshops back two weeks so the new dates are Tuesday 1/25 & 2/8.

As I warned in my last post, we’re ready to start giving away produce, beginning tomorrow, Thursday July 15, 2021 from 4pm-6pm across from the Harvel Post Office. Only a couple of trays of regular tomatoes, but 3 trays of cucumbers, and green beans. Come see every Thursday beginning tomorrow until whenever the plants quit producing. I will be posting signs on Friday, July 15.

Trinity Lutheran Church - Harvel, IL is cancelling all events including services through April 4, 2020 due to the COVID19 situation. Our current plan is to resume normal services on Palm Sunday, April 5. The Elders will have another teleconference to discuss the situation on Thursday, April 2 and determine how best to proceed.
Sermons will be emailed to members for whom Vicar has email addresses on the day before the scheduled service. If you would like to receive an electronic copy of the sermons, please email [email protected].
Paper copies of the sermons will also be available to be picked up at church after 5pm the day before.
Please contact Vicar with any questions or concerns.

Join us for Mostaccioli this Sunday!! Join us Sunday, February 23 for our annual Mostaccioli Dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the church basement. In addition we will offer salad, bread, and desserts. This event is sponsored by the Ladies Aid of Trinity Lutheran Church and proceeds go to their projects, such as the Adopt-A-Student program and quilting. We are handicapped accessible. Be sure to join us Sunday and come hungry!
