Jesus calls us to a way of life marked by compassion, mercy, and love for our neighbors.

That calling begins with recognizing the dignity and worth that God has placed in every person and remembering that each of us is beloved in God's sight.

As we observe Pride Month, we invite you to listen to this message from Bishop Ruth Woodliff-Stanley about identity, belonging, and God's reconciling love.

A kind heart changes the journey. ❤️

This Sunday, our Godly Play story is the parable of the Good Samaritan, reminding us that loving our neighbor means showing compassion, even when it’s unexpected.

Children’s Church meets Sunday at 10am. We’d love to see you there!

Love in Action: The Sign of the Cross

Many Episcopalians make the sign of the cross during worship and prayer. For some, it's a way of remembering their baptism. For others, it's a physical reminder of God's presence.

At its heart, the sign of the cross reminds us that being marked by Christ means loving our neighbor.

The sign of the cross isn't meant to be an empty gesture. It's a reminder that we are marked by Christ's love and called to share that love with others.

Every time we trace the cross upon ourselves, we remember both who we are and how we are called to live and love.

How might God be calling you to be a neighbor this week?

No... this was not a drill....

This week we scheduled our spring tuning for the organ. We caught the tuners in action during the tuning as well as at the end when they tested it out!

Thank you Lincoln Pipe Organs, Inc, of Lincolnton, NC for keeping our organ serviced!

Being Known and Loved: The Peace

Before we gather at God's table, we share Christ's peace with one another.

The Peace is more than a greeting. It's a reminder that we belong to one another. We come to worship not as strangers, but as members of one flock under the care of one Shepherd.

Just as Jesus knows each of his sheep by name, we are invited to know and care for one another.

The peace of the Lord be always with you.

One of our hymns this coming Sunday is hymn #706 In your mercy, Lord, you called me. The text of this hymn really dovetails the readings which all broadly touch on faith, and the message that God chooses those who believe.
_____________________________________

In your mercy, Lord, you called me
taught my sin-filled heart and mind,
else the world had still enthralled me,
and to glory kept me blind.

Lord, I did not freely choose you
till by grace you set me free;
for my heart would still refuse you
had your love not chosen me.

Now my heart set none above you,
for your grace alone, I thirst,
knowing well, that if I love you,
you, O Lord, have loved me first.

Words: Josiah Conder (1789-1855); alt. Charles P. Price (1920-1999)
