Jesus often connected with people over a meal. On the BLESS app, Free Will Baptists have recorded 535 occasions where they have eaten with neighbors. May we look for opportunities for coffee, lunch, or a backyard cookout. A meal just might open up the door for ministry. Download the free app at https://nafwb.org/bless/.

The love described in 1 Corinthians is more than just a feeling. It’s an action that has someone else in mind—one that usually doesn’t come naturally to us.

Practicing God’s self-giving, self-sacrificing love isn’t easy. It asks us to do things that can feel unnatural, uncomfortable, and unenjoyable to us . . . and it’s even harder to practice when others disappoint or hurt us.

It’s impossible to live out this type of love on our own. Thankfully, we have the perfect example to follow.

The love God calls us to express is the same love that He shows us, despite the countless times we turn away or push back. And because we know this type of love, we can share it with others. ❤️
