Morgan Baptist Association

Morgan Baptist Association The Morgan Baptist Association is a partnership of Southern Baptist Churches in Morgan County, AL.

for the purpose of making Jesus Christ known in Morgan County, the United States, and around the world. Partnership begins here ....

The Morgan Baptist Association has been serving the people of Morgan County Alabama since 1919. During more than a century of ministry, MBA has helped her member churches find ways to partner together for the kingdom of God and for the glory of God. Today, almost 7

0 Southern Baptist Churches are members of the Morgan Baptist Association. These churches are located across our county from the far north along the Tennessee River to the far south along the county line. The association exists not to do the work of the local church but rather to assist, encourage, promote, and support the work of the local church. Our facility in Hartselle, Alabama includes the MBA office, a conference room, a larger meeting room and other office space, as well as the Caring Place Ministry and the Sycamore Bargain Center thrift store. Our association’s Disaster Relief Unit is also located on this same property. Every week, these facilities are used by countless people who gather at the association for fellowship, meetings, prayer, worship, spiritual support, Christian counseling, physical support, and a whole host of other ministries. The Caring Place, Disaster Relief, Sycamore Bargain Center, and MBA Office Staff and Volunteers all work together to share the love of Jesus through these various ministries. You can lear more about our association by visiting our web page at: www.morganassociation.org. In addition to the weekly activities that happen at the facility in Hartselle, the Morgan Baptist Association is involved in many other ministries such as Talladega Raceway Ministries, the Caring Place Bible Study, Vacation Bible School, Senior Adult Ministry, Women’s Ministry, Volunteer Missions, both locally and abroad, Youth Ministry, various ministry training, as well as others.

In honor and in the memory of all those who have given the "Ultimate Sacrifice" for the continuing freedom of our nation, the Morgan Baptist Association will be closed on Monday.

Let's also remember every day that Jesus gave, and He is the only perfect and eternal sacrifice, given so that all who trust in Him can be freed from the bo***ge of sin!

Morgan Baptists: Pray for the Bible Translation Project that several of our MBA churches are participating in. If your church is interested in joining other MBA churches in getting God's Word translated into the languages that believers in Uganda can understand, get in touch with your association (256) 773-5243!

Here is the latest update on the translation work going on in Uganda in the Jonam Community. You can find more information at our website: MorganAssociation.org .

These people are part of the "Tuzweyo Twake" Cluster:

Tuzweyo Twake

Your church(es) generously gave to the Tuzweyo Twake project, which Wycliffe Bible Translators is helping translate in the Jonam community in Uganda. This email is an update from a group of pastors who visited the Jonam community, and we wanted to share it with you!

"With grateful hearts, we thank you for your generous gift, for your support of future Adopt a Verse Sundays, and for your advocacy for the Tuzweyo Twake translation project in Uganda.
This past summer, I had the privilege of traveling with three pastors and their wives to Uganda to meet key leaders of the Tuzweyo Take translation project.

We spent time in the Jonam community. One of the 9 languages we plan to translate over the next 2-3 years. Please click the testimonial video link below from the pastors and the impact it had on them.

These pictures were taken on a Saturday and a Sunday. They were checking the translation of Romans 10 and had asked several members of the local community to participate.

We also had the privilege of attending church in their community. Unfortunately, the Bible they use now is not in a language that many can understand.

They are excited to receive portions of the New Testament as they are translated. You have played a significant part in bringing the Bible to them in a language they understand.

We are excited to see many Churches adopting language communities like this, using the Adopt a Verse - Word Giver Sunday strategy to inform, inspire and invite their congregation to adopt a New Testament book to be funded using this strategy.

We are deeply thankful for your financial support and shared vision to make the Bible accessible to these dear people in Uganda."

With Gratitude,

Bruce
