🇺🇸🔷Congratulations to our girls and leaders!!! We have officially been awarded National Honor Troop at the Sapphire Level! It is definitely something we have prayed about and dedicated our time to achieve. Way to go Troop AL0813!🔷🇺🇸

The National Honor Troop Award (NHTA) was established by AHG to provide Troops with a roadmap to a healthy, well-rounded Troop. NHTA is a tool that showcases key components of a successful Troop year: Faith, Service, and Fun, Troop administration, maintaining important relationships, incorporating the six Program Emphases, Troop presentation via the AHG Uniform, recognition, and Kingdom Growth. As the Troop develops and grows, the NHTA has additional levels that can be achieved. Completing the Ruby Level of the NHTA each year is a great accomplishment that AHG prays each Troop will reach and see this as a tool that helps implement faith, service, and fun! The Sapphire and Diamond Levels offer mature Troops additional best practices for ministry effectiveness through building upon the requirements of the Ruby Level.

Our troop loved hiking and camping at DeSoto Falls, 4.5 miles hiking around to look at waterfalls (5 in one day and 2 the next day). They enjoyed the hiking, fellowship, and playing at camp so very much! Before heading home, a few of us went to check out Little River Falls- we enjoyed that too!! What a beautiful weekend in God's creation!!! We are very proud of each of these girls, and we are hopeful to plan more of these activities next year! If you are interested in hanging out with us next time, send us a message.

At East Highland, not only do we have an American Heritage Girls troop, but we also have Trail Life USA - Troop 0412 - Hartselle Al for the boys around our area. They have a great group of men and teens that pour knowledge about God and the outdoors into the future Trail Life Leaders.

“I believe in the power of influence in the lives of youth. Perhaps, more than any time in history, our boys need men in their lives who can offer godly wisdom and leadership to help these young men navigate the difficulties and pressure of life. I am honored to be used by God to impact young mens' lives for the furtherance of God's kingdom here on earth.”
- Trail Life Dad

In Trail Life Troops across the nation, men are banding together to apply outdoor adventure as a tool to train generations of courageous young men who honor God, lead with integrity, and serve others.

Our 4th Annual Wreaths Across America Wreath Sponsorship Drive! 🇺🇸

Each wreath is $17 OR you can sponsor 5 wreaths for $85! We would like for each girl to either sponsor a wreath or have a wreath sponsored for them. PLEASE comment below if you've sponsored a wreath and for which girl it will go towards. That way she will receive the Wreath Across America Patch that will go on her vest/sash!

What does it mean to sponsor a wreath?
Sponsoring a veteran's wreath is a personal gift of gratitude and remembrance for someone who served this country so that we can be free.

Your sponsorship supports the year-long mission to remember the fallen, honor those who serve, and teach the next generation the value of freedom, while making new and existing free programs available to the masses. With each sponsorship made, a veterans wreath will be placed to honor an American hero at participating locations this year on national wreaths across America day.

We will be attending Hartselle City Cemetery at 1100 Railroad St. NW to Remember and Honor our veterans through the laying of Remembrance Wreaths and the act of saying the name of each and every veteran aloud.

Our AHG Troop went kayak camping in September. We all had a blast, and when this adventure came to an end, we pulled together and got all of our kayaks out of the river. It took a group effort to pull this activity off, but the girls loved it!

Are you looking for a Christ-centered community where your daughter can grow in faith, friendship, and fun? Come check out our American Heritage Girls troop! 🇺🇸💙

We’re hosting a registration event for new and returning members on Sunday, June 8, from 5–6:30pm at East Highland Baptist Church in Hartselle — and we would love to meet you!
(You do not need to attend East Highland in order to be a member. The troop is open to girls from all Christian denominations!)

👩‍👧 Moms, bring your daughters and plan to hang out! While we answer any questions you may have about the upcoming year, the girls will enjoy some fun activities and get a little taste of what AHG is all about.

So what is AHG?
American Heritage Girls is a Christ-centered character and leadership development program for girls ages 5–18. Throughout the year we work on badges, take trips to explore God’s creation, host fun events, and give the girls meaningful opportunities to serve others.

The girls have made lifelong friendships, learned new skills they’re proud of, and grown in their faith — all while having a blast!

💬 If you’ve been looking for a group that builds strong character, encourages service, and surrounds your daughter with positive role models, this is it. We can’t wait to meet you on June 8th!

Here are some pictures from last year!
