Dear Congregation,

Our “Swallow Walk of Fame” celebration for the last day of school is planned for Thursday, June 5 from approximately 12:00–1:00 PM, and we are looking for a few volunteers and donations to help make it a fun send-off for the students walking through our parking lot after school.

We will be cheering on the kids with signs, cowbells, lemonade, treats, and lots of encouragement as we wish them a happy summer!

We are currently looking for:

Volunteers to help cheer and hand out treats

Donations of popsicles, freeze pops, bottled water, lemonade, candy, or small prizes

Connections to local businesses that may be willing to donate coupons or freebies such as Culver’s treats, movie passes, or other kid-friendly items

Our own Jackie, cellist, recently performed at halftime for a Milwaukee Bucks game at Fiserv Forum with hip hop artist Trevis Romell—adding live cello to create a powerful and unforgettable performance!

We are so proud to see her sharing her gifts in such an exciting way. 💛

🇺🇸 **Help Us Surprise a Local Hero!** 🇺🇸

Our Savior’s Lutheran Church is inviting our community to come together for a very special mission—to **surprise 96-year-old Navy veteran Ron Schell** with letters of gratitude!

Ron will be traveling on the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight on **April 25th**, where veterans are honored with a meaningful trip to Washington, D.C. One of the most touching moments of the day is “Mail Call,” when they receive a surprise bundle of letters from their community.

💌 **We need YOUR help!**
Write a card, note, or letter thanking Ron for his service. Kids and students are encouraged to join in with drawings and messages!

✉️ **Don’t have time to write it out?**
Feel free to send your message electronically—I’m happy to **print off your notes or handwrite any well wishes** for you!
