Happy Labor Day!

Today we give thanks for the many ways people use their time, talents, and gifts to make a difference—in their work, their families, their churches, and their communities.

Whether you're working today, enjoying time with family and friends, or simply taking a well-deserved day to rest, we hope you have a wonderful Labor Day.

“Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might.” — Ecclesiastes 9:10

And as we look ahead to Rally Day, we're reminded that our journey together is made possible by the many people who share their time and talents with Our Savior's.

SCRIPTURE TO PONDER
Matthew 18:15–20 — Growing Together
This Sunday’s Scripture: Matthew 18:15–20

Jesus talks about what it means to live together in community. Relationships aren't always easy, but Jesus encourages us to speak honestly, listen to one another, and work toward reconciliation.

Our journey together isn't about always agreeing. It's about learning how to walk with one another.

Questions to Ponder

Remember: What does Jesus say we should do when someone has wronged us?

Understand: Why do you think Jesus encourages us to talk directly with one another?

Apply: Is there a relationship in your life where taking a small step toward reconciliation might make a difference?

Wherever we are on our journey, we don't have to walk it alone.

MOOSE — A Journey of Fellowship
Our Journey Together

Our journey isn't meant to be traveled alone.

At Our Savior's, there are many opportunities to connect with others, build friendships, share a laugh, and simply enjoy being together.

MOOSE is one of those opportunities.

Bill Anderson will be at Rally Day on September 13 to share more about MOOSE and how you can get involved.

WHAT’S HAPPENING AT OUR SAVIOR’S
Our Journey Together — Rally Day, September 13

What does “Our Journey Together” mean?

Each of us has our own journey of faith. We are growing, learning, asking questions, worshiping, and discovering what it means to follow Jesus.

We also have a journey with one another. Church is about relationships—friends, families, Bible studies, music, fellowship, serving, and caring for our community.

And we have a journey as Our Savior’s—honoring our history, living in the present, and looking toward the future.

We don’t have to make the journey alone.

Join us for Rally Day on September 13 as we celebrate the many ways we journey together.

New Worship Time: 9:00 AM

Come worship. Connect. Discover where you fit in our journey together.

Scripture to Ponder — Matthew 16:21–28

This Sunday’s Scripture: Matthew 16:21–28

Jesus tells his disciples that following him will not always be an easy journey. Peter struggles to understand what Jesus is saying, but Jesus reminds his followers that discipleship means trusting God even when the path is difficult or unexpected.

Questions to Ponder

Remember: What does Jesus tell his disciples is going to happen?

Understand: What do you think Jesus means when he says, “Take up your cross”?

Apply: What might following Jesus look like in your life this week?
