Hello DR Summer Childcare Families,

Now that the tornado threat is at a level 3, we are advising that all children get picked up as soon as possible. All other summer programs in the local area have also called for an early release!

We are actively monitoring weather conditions and will keep all children safe until they are picked up. Thank you for your understanding!

I think the high schoolers already love Emily! From the whole "frying a mouse" incident (long story) to playing a game in the gym with them today in between painting, I think the kids sure love her!

So high schoolers, join the fun. We'd love to see you at Mission Mondays (learn more drlc.org/mondays).

This Sunday!

RevWell’s Summer Body Reconnect isn’t a workout or a seminar. It’s a guided space to slow down, tune out the noise, and realign your body, mind, and spirit for the season ahead.

In 90 minutes, you’ll experience:

→ Gentle movement to reconnect with your body
→ Teaching from Alisa Keeton to reframe how you see your body and how God meets you in it
→ Guided Scripture and rest so you can receive instead of perform
→ Optional prayer rooms so you don’t leave carrying what surfaced on your own

No pressure. No performance. Just presence.

What if this summer wasn’t about changing your body—but being more at home in it?

Not striving to look a certain way, but learning to be present in the body God already gave you. Not performing, but receiving.

The class of 2026 is amazing. They came in the first day of summer break to start working on their 8th-grade class gift, which is mainly a service project to give our locker rooms a makeover.

They came in for phase one - the clean out - and then continued to do multiple projects around DR. THANK YOU ALL!!!

Next up: Cleaning & Painting

We invite you to join us this Sunday for the start of our new sermon series: Sunday School For Adults!

Every great story has a beginning, and the Bible's is better than you remember. This summer, we're returning to the stories which span all the history before the Jesus walked the earth. These aren't tame stories. But they keep telling the same story: how God works extraordinary things through ordinary, broken people. They also show us the roots of who we are as the people of God, and the story which just keeps pointing to Jesus.

Worship with us Sunday morning at 8:00, 9:15, 10:30, or online; we look forward to seeing you!

Visit drlc.org/SundaySchoolForAdults for more on this new series!

🎓✨ Congratulations, Divine Redeemer's 8th Grade Class of 2026! ✨🎓

We thank God for the many ways you have grown in faith, knowledge, and character during your time at Divine Redeemer. As you begin the next chapter of your journey, we pray that you remain rooted in Christ and confident in His plan for your lives.

Their class verse reminds us:

"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." — Romans 12:2

Congratulations, graduates! We are proud of you, thankful for you, and excited to see how God will work through you in the years ahead. 💙💚✝️

This morning was our last school day for the 2025-2026 school year....always a memorable & touching ♥️ closing with important summer reminders and lots of congratulations! The morning starts with a thank you reception for all of our generous volunteers, then the annual awards ceremony (so many talented students were honored), followed by our principal's State-of-the-School address (DR is truly blessed 🥇🏆👏), and ending with our annual closing chapel. Every year our fun, inspiring, loving faculty present a chapel skit for our students with a special "summer" message. Take away from this year's is... Trust in the Lord & spend more time with Him this summer! Have a blessed summer and see you in the fall!
