Spirit to Spirit

What hides in our hearts is only known to us and to God. He reads our hearts like an open book, and he understands more about us than we realize. He sees every intention and every hurt. He knows the motivations of our actions even more clearly than we do.

The Spirit of God knows the motivations of the Father’s heart just as well. The Spirit imparts the truth of the Father’s love to us. He ministers peace, joy, comfort, and strength. He is the lifter of our heads and the source of our hope. He goes beyond the outer layers of our lives to minister straight to our hearts, from deep unto deep, Spirit to spirit. What a wonderful reality this is!

Holy Spirit, minister to the depths of me, even now as I focus on you. Draw near and fill me with your loving presence. I long for the peace you bring and the clarity you offer. Thank you.
