We are Many Members, yet One Body," today the Third Sunday after Pentecost, our 8am and 10am liturgical celebrations, was presided over by our Interim Dean, Rev. Harlon Dalton, who also gave instructions regarding the utensils, elements and canon of the Eucharistic liturgy and particular actions of the celebrant at the altar, today we also perform prayers for healing.
At 9 a.m., we had our formation space, led by Dr. Jilda Aliotta, in which we followed up on last week's theme, "Justification by faith," according to Paul's approach in the letter to the Romans.
The preaching at the 8am and 10am celebrations was given by Rev. Jill Morrison, who made us reaffirm our values as a community and our shared ministry, as well as our belonging to God as a whole and the compassionate attitude of Jesus Christ towards humanity, a gesture that we are called to replicate as Christians in the world as bearers of good news, as responsible shepherds who take good care of their flock, as responsible leaders who do their job well with compassion.
At 11am, we had our time of hospitality and at 12:30pm, our celebration in Spanish presided over by the Canon for Latino Ministry Rev. Ramon Garcia, who made us reflect on the mystery of salvation as a reconstruction of humanity's relationship with God, which generates goodness, solidarity and mercy in human beings. because God comes to us with retributive, hopeful, sure and eternal proposals. By the action of the Holy Spirit, we are elevated to the state of grace that restores a decayed, discouraged, and disoriented humanity to life in fullness. (Jn. 10:10)
At 1:30pm, we had our formative section in Spanish, in which we dealt with the theme of the Apostolic and Nicene creeds, their biblical affinity and their catechetical and spiritual importance.

We are Many Members, yet One Body”

Today, on the Second Sunday after Pentecost, our liturgical celebrations at 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. were presided over by our Interim Dean, Rev. Harlon Dalton.

At 9:00 a.m., we gathered for our Christian formation session, led by Dr. Jilda Aliotta, who presented the theme “Justification by Faith” based on St. Paul’s Letter to the Romans.

At 10:00 a.m., we began our principal service, during which Rev. Harlon Dalton offered an instructive presentation on the theological and liturgical value of the Book of Common Prayer. He explained its origin, historical development, and the process that led to the creation of the Book of Common Prayer used by the Episcopal Church in the United States, highlighting its connection to the original Prayer Book of the Church of England.

In his sermon, Rev. Dalton exhorted us to take seriously our baptismal covenant, particularly our promise to seek and serve Christ in all persons, loving our neighbors as ourselves. He warned against falling into the trap of disloyalty and self-interest, drawing parallels with those who betray their values for personal gain. He invited us to reflect on how God’s unconditional love calls us to a life of justice, integrity, and a constant willingness to become better people.

At 11:00 a.m., we shared a time of fellowship and hospitality.

At 12:30 p.m., our Spanish-language Eucharist was celebrated by the Rev. Ramon Garcia, Canon for Latino Ministry. In his sermon, he reflected on the theme of “Compassion,” emphasizing that, from a biblical perspective, compassion involves empathy for the suffering of others and a commitment to respond faithfully to God’s call. He reminded us that following God often requires leaving our comfort zones and overcoming limiting behaviors and fearful assumptions. Blessings, he noted, frequently demand sacrifice, surrender, courage, and determination as we respond to God’s invitation.

May God continue to strengthen us as one body in Christ, united in faith, service, compassion, and love.
