This is an EXPLANATION, not an APOLOGY. You are going to see a lot of posts about the Immanuel Christian School for the Deaf in the foreseeable future.
If you have followed me for any length of time you know that for more than 15 years my life was heavily invested in my work with the Immanuel Christian School for the Deaf in Kenya. For a number of reasons, I closed down the non-profit that I oversaw (Kenya Development Fund) in 2021, and pulled back from my work with the school. However, my heart will forever be knit to the students and staff there.
Recently, because of AMAZING growth at the school and their advancement by the government of Kenya, the school needs to expand its facilities. Headmaster Wes Agengo has reached out to me for help. That being said, I have agreed to head up an outreach here in the states to help raise the $95,000 they need for the expansion of facilities. I am pleased to say that we have already been granted a $30,000 matching gift.
For the foreseeable future, I will be making numerous posts on all of my social media presence in an effort to assist in this effort. IF YOU GET TIRED OF SEEING THEM - simply ignore them. This is a project I have poured my heart into for the better part of two decades and I am passionate about it. If you would like to know more about this specific project, please read a recent blog post found at www.mkgantt.com/post/my-heart-is-still-in-kenya.
If you can't give - share my blog post. Perhaps you can influence someone who can. Thank you.
