We will be kicking off a new series called "RESIST", as we dive in and seek to answer the question "what is a faithful response to today's crazy world?" In other words, what does Holy Resistance look like in our day?

We are going to look at the Way of Jesus and the Early Church through a study of Luke-Acts. Many of our Home Gatherings will be carrying this theme on in their weekly meetings. We may also start a new Book Club and other discussion groups, depending on the interest level. Together, we want to identify and act upon practical ways to run after the WAY OF JESUS -- a way of radical belonging and inclusion, justice, and radical love.

Today at Riverfront Family Church, we celebrated Epiphany Sunday by reflecting on the journey of the Magi (Matthew 2:1-12). Their story teaches us profound lessons about faith, humility, and worship. Here are the 6 key takeaways:

1. We Are Seekers – Faith begins with a willingness to seek truth and follow signs of the divine, even when the path is uncertain.

2. We Are Ecumenical – The Gospel crosses boundaries, reminding us to embrace diversity and celebrate God’s presence in all traditions.

3. Faith Is Dangerous – True faith often involves risk and courage as we confront challenges and pursue transformation.

4. To See the Divine Is to Find Joy – The Magi’s journey teaches us to rejoice in God’s presence, even amid hardship.

5. Posture Matters – Humility is the foundation of spiritual growth; transformation begins when we bow down and open ourselves to God.

6. He Is Worthy of Our Worship and Gifts – Worship is both an act of reverence and a call to action, as we offer our gifts in service to God and others.
