Hartford Yoked Parish First Baptist Church of Hartford & South Hartford Congregational Church. Service Time 10:30 a.m., Sunday School 9:30 a.m. Amasa Brown in 1788. Ralph Robinson.

at Baptist Church- Sept-mid May, at Congregational Church- mid May-Aug. The First Baptist Church of Hartford, NY was founded by Rev. In 1810, the South Hartford Congregational Church was officially formed, led by the Rev. The two churches operated independently until 1961 when an alliance was formed. The two churches shared a pastor, but retained their individual identity. This partnership thrived

under the direction of Rev. Warren Churchill and became known as The Hartford Yoked Parish. Under leadership from the pastor- currently Rev. David Asel, members of both churches comprise Yoked Parish committees which carry on the activities of the parish. The Baptist Church is affiliated with the American Baptist Churches USA, and the Congregational Church with the United Church of Christ.

The 2026 Hartford Memorial Day Parade, celebrating 250 years of our great country and honoring our fallen service men and women, was a huge success! Thank you to Marlene and Keith Brynes for the music and sound system, Becky and Casey Arlen for the construction, ACT Landscaping/Scooter Truehart for transporting us, the Candy Kids and singers! Additionally, thanks to Pete Klaiber for ringing the church bell as we passed- so cool!

Last Sunday- kids learned how God made each one of us, and how He knows and loves us ! Coming up- Noah’s Ark Puzzle Project and preparing for Children’s Day. Kids PK and up are welcome to attend Sunday School- 9:30 a.m!
